Pro-Life Youth Provide Best Christmas Present for America

America has had a hard year with ObamaCare passing in March and the current Presidential Administration taking every step it can to promote their abortion agenda here in the States and abroad.

In reaction to these efforts, pro-lifers had significant victories in the November elections, but the greatest gift for Christmas is something our nation cannot buy and Americans cannot vote on. The biggest gift for Christmas this year is the emergence of the pro-life generation. The generation of young people committed to ending abortion in their lifetime.

As recent polls have shown, the youth of America are pro-life. Each year at the March for Life, hundreds of thousands of pro-life youth gather to take stand in Washington, D.C. for the preborn and their mothers. And last year, Nancy Keegan from NARAL publicly expressed her surprise to Newsweek that so many young people had come to D.C. to March for Life.

For years, Students for Life has activated and trained these young people at our annual SFLA National Conference. This year, we have sold out our conference for the 3rd year in a row, expanding from 1200 students to over 1700 students. Students for Life offers pro-life leadership training for students who wish to take a stand for Life on their campuses and in their communities. And more importantly, we are able to unify the pro-life movement by connecting the youth of America with national pro-life leaders.

Just last month, pro-life youth leaders gathered to sign a statement stating the importance of unity within the student pro-life movement. Unity is key to achieving our shared mission of raising up and training the next generation of pro-life leaders.

This January, we plan to do just this. Students for Life, Rock for Life, 40 Days for Life, and Human Life Alliance will be co-sponsoring the first ever National Pro-Life Youth Rally immediately following the annual pro-life March in Washington, D.C. The Rally will be an historic event to unite and activate the youth of America on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade.

We are the generation who have been effected by abortion. We have seen its effects on our friends and in our own lives. We know we are missing siblings, cousins, and friends because of abortion.

How many more must perish before this barbaric practice of abortion is abolished?

This Christmas, America will receive a gift of hope, real hope. Hope for the next generation of Americans, and hope for the future of America.

On January 24th, the youth of America will stand in solidarity with the preborn and their mothers at the National Pro-Life Youth Rally in Washington, DC.
