Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — Thousands of college and university students will gather once again in the nation’s capital to learn the latest information on abortion and the newest methods of sharing the pro-life perspective with the students who are America’s future leaders in business, politics and the community.
Students for Life of America’s national conference has been sold out for the past two years and has grown so large that the 2011 event will be held at a larger facility.
With the help of the conferences co-sponsor, the Alliance Defense Fund, the pro-life conference will now be able to accommodate a larger crowd.
Kristan Hawkins, SFLAs Executive Director told LifeNews.com today the conference is a great way for students to hear inspiring pro-life speakers and receive further training and support before the March for Life, which takes place the day after.
The goal of the SFLA National Conference is to rejuvenate, equip, and empower pro-life students and adults to return to their campuses and communities and effectively fight for the rights of pre-born children and their mothers," she said.
"Last year, the SFLA National Conference sold out with 1,200 students from over 150 universities attending, making the SFLA National conference the largest pro-life youth conference in the world. I am excited to make history again with this years conference," she said.
The 2011 SFLA National Conference will be held at the North Bethesda Marriott and Conference Center in Bethesda, Maryland, just outside of Washington on January 23.
It will feature speakers such as Scott Klusendorf, Alveda King, David French from the Alliance Defense Fund, David Bereit from 40 Days for Life, Peggy Hartshorn from Heartbeat International, Georgette Forney from Silent No More, Jason Jones from iamwholelife.com, Brian Kemper from Stand True, and many more.
