A California pastor warned his community about the “abhorrent and malevolent” practices of Planned Parenthood this week after the billion-dollar abortion chain announced plans to open a new facility there.

Writing at the Fontana Herald News, Pastor Daniel Vasquez asked local residents to consider if the abortion chain actually will benefit Fontana.

Planned Parenthood, a billion-dollar “nonprofit,” is the largest abortion provider in the United States, killing more than 370,000 unborn babies in abortions every year. It supports elective abortions for “any reason” and wants to force taxpayers to fund them.

Vasquez described its practices as “abhorrent and malevolent” and reminded Fontana residents how the abortion chain was accused of selling aborted baby body parts for profit.

He quoted court testimony from Dr. Forrest Smith, an OB-GYN and abortionist in California, who said he believes Planned Parenthood sells aborted baby body parts. Pointing to undercover investigations by the Center for Medical Progress and other evidence, Smith said he also believes babies sometimes are born alive and left to die at the abortion chain.

“There’s no question in my mind that at least some of these fetuses were live births,” Smith testified in federal court.

Vasquez urged Fontana residents to consider Smith’s expert testimony and join pro-life advocates in opposing the abortion chain.

“If you believe that those actions of Planned Parenthood are a benefit to our community, then we strongly disagree with you,” the pastor wrote. “We see life as sacrosanct. We believe Planned Parenthood’s long list of abuses is wrong for Fontana.”

In early June, hundreds of pro-life residents gathered to protest the new abortion facility in their southern California community. Holding signs in English and Spanish, they urged Fontana to “Pray to end abortion,” “Protect the unborn child” and “In a war against children, have courage, choose love, choose life.”

The protest included two post-abortive women who shared their testimonies to expose how killing unborn babies hurts both mother and child, the Herald News reported at the time.

“I regret [my abortions] severely,” said Kimberly Chavez, a local resident who helped to organize the event. “I know that I’m forgiven and set free, and I just want to prevent them from happening to any other young women who might be facing a choice.”

It is not clear when Planned Parenthood wants to open the abortion facility or if city leaders will try to stop it. According to the local news, the project is still in the early planning stages, and city communications and marketing manager Monique Carter said it is “currently under staff review.”

Planned Parenthood has been accused of numerous abuses in recent decades, including botched abortions that killed women, cover-up of sexual abuse, racial and pregnancy discrimination against its employees, Medicaid fraud and more. However, it remains a huge political power, reaping in $1.9 billion in revenue last year and spending tens of millions on elections.
