National Right to Life and its state affiliate, North Dakota Right to Life, have endorsed pro-life Rep. Kevin Cramer in North Dakota’s U.S. Senate election. Cramer will challenge pro-abortion Sen. Heidi Heitkamp in November.

“National Right to Life and North Dakota Right to Life are pleased to endorse Kevin Cramer, whose position on life reflects the true values of North Dakota’s voters,” said Carol Tobias, National Right to Life president. “There is a stark contrast between Kevin Cramer, who supports legal protection for unborn children, and Heidi Heitkamp, who supports abortion for any reason until birth.”

Kevin Cramer co-sponsored and voted for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act – legislation to protect unborn children by prohibiting abortion at 20 weeks, a point by which the unborn child is capable of experiencing great pain when being killed by dismemberment or other late abortion methods.

Cramer is challenging Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D) who consistently votes against the pro-life position on abortion. She voted against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which prohibits abortion after 20 weeks when the unborn baby can feel pain. Heidi Heitkamp supports using tax dollars to pay for abortion. Heidi Heitkamp supports giving hundreds of millions of dollars of government funds to the nation’s largest abortion provider.

Rep. Kevin Cramer’s pro-life record contrasts greatly with Heidi Heitkamp’s. Kevin Cramer opposes abortion on demand, and he opposes using tax dollars to pay for abortion.
