Unless Obama is Defeated, Your Tax Dollars Will Fund Abortions

With September nearly half over, attention has shifted to the November election.

If the 2010 election is any foretaste of what is to come this November, pro-life Americans will demonstrate that failure to uphold the deepest value on which this nation was established—the equal right to life—impacts candidates on election day.

Indeed, the 2010 election witnessed the defeat of many elected officials who voted for Obamacare, which contains the largest expansion of abortion our country has ever witnessed, not to mention a coercive mandate that forces Americans to provide or purchase insurance providing morally or ethically offensive products, including abortion-inducing drugs.

However, our work is not over. Indeed, it is just beginning. President Obama, who set in motion the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade through the enactment of Obamacare, and his many Congressional allies who voted for Obamacare remain in office.

As Chief Justice Roberts noted in the Supreme Court’s Obamacare decision this past June:

“Members of the Court are vested with the authority to interpret the law; we possess neither the expertise nor the prerogative to make policy judgments. Those decisions are entrusted to our Nation’s elected leaders, who can be thrown out of office if the people disagree with them. It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.”

Unless pro-life Americans commit to voting these individuals out of office and electing leaders dedicated to defending life, the Obama Administration and his Congressional allies will continue to force taxpayer funding and subsidies for abortion providers. They will continue to coerce Americans to violate their deeply held—and constitutionally protected—First Amendment freedom of conscience.

What does the path to victory look like?

To commit today to unite as pro-life Americans and to dedicate ourselves to ensuring that every pro-life American actually votes on November 6.
