Joe Biden Celebrates Nancy Pelosi’s Radical Abortion Advocacy: “History” Will Love Her

Joe Biden praised U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi for her “historic” abortion advocacy Tuesday at a major pro-abortion gathering in Washington, D.C.

Although Biden and Pelosi both profess to be devout Catholics, their political actions have helped facilitate millions of unborn babies’ abortion deaths. Pelosi, a California congresswoman and former U.S. House speaker, even supports aborting viable, late-term unborn babies and once called the matter “sacred ground.”

On Tuesday, EMILY’s List, a group focused on electing pro-abortion Democrat women to office, honored Pelosi during its annual gala with speeches from the president and Vice President Kamala Harris, The Hill reports.

“There’s a famous quote that is one that says, ‘What we’ve done for ourselves dies with us. What we’ve done for others and the world remains immortal,’” Biden said. “One of the reasons why Nancy is going to be so, so well thought of in history as well is what she’s done for everyone. I mean it. She’s a game changer.”

Many other Democrat leaders also attended the pro-abortion gala, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, according to the report.

In accepting the honor, Pelosi insisted that legalizing taxpayer-funded abortion on demand is a winning election issue, and Democrats will win back the House in 2024, The Hill reports.

“Extreme Republicans waging war on women’s rights need to know one thing: We’re not going back,” she told the crowd.

But polls show Democrat leaders like Pelosi are the real extremists on the issue. Pro-lifers believe history will one day recognize Biden and Pelosi as corrupt politicians who worked to destroy the rights and lives of born and unborn children because they were beholden to the billion-dollar abortion industry.

Among Pelosi’s worst actions, she led the House in blocking legislation to protect newborns who survive abortions from infanticide more than 80 times. Data suggests hundreds of babies likely survive abortions every year in the U.S.

Pelosi also tried unsuccessfully to force taxpayers to pay for elective abortions by getting rid of the Hyde Amendment.

Under her leadership, the House passed the most radical pro-abortion bill in U.S. history, nicknamed the Abortion Without Limits Up to Birth Act. The bill, which failed in the U.S. Senate, would have forced states to legalize killing unborn babies for basically any reason up to birth, ended parental consent for minors and forced taxpayers to pay for elective abortions.

Pelosi tried to cut away at Americans’ religious freedom, too. Through the Affordable Care Act – something Vice President Harris hailed as one of her key achievements Tuesday, Pelosi and other Democrats tried to force nuns who do charity work and other Christian employers to fund abortion-causing drugs in their employee health plans.

At the same time, she repeatedly and openly has defied the pope and other Catholic leaders, even scoffing publicly at her bishop, San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, for denying her communion because of her radical pro-abortion views.

In 2021, Cordileone said Pelosi was championing pro-abortion legislation that amounts to “child sacrifice” — what “one would expect from a devout Satanist, not a devout Catholic.” He said the congresswoman cannot participate in communion until she repents.

Religious or not, most Americans believe Pelosi’s pro-abortion actions are too extreme. Numerous polls consistently show strong public opposition to taxpayer funding for abortions and support for laws that protect unborn babies from late-term abortions.
