We have just confirmed the 136th abortion facility has gone out of business following a 40 Days for Life campaign!

Pro-lifers in Bogota, Colombia, held the first 40 Days for Life campaign in front of the Kennedy Oriéntame abortion facility in 2017.

Three years and seven campaigns later, it appeared that the abortion business had closed. But the Oriéntame website suggested it was simply relocating.

Eager to keep the abortion center out of their Kennedy neighborhood, the local 40 Days for Life leadership team continued to investigate where it would reopen.

Finally, they confirmed that the abortion facility is closed permanently!

While the overturning of Roe v. Wade has closed numerous abortion facilities–and put many more on the brink of going under–in the United States, Latin America is also on a roll.

The Kennedy abortion facility is the ninth in Latin America confirmed to have closed after a 40 Days for Life campaign!

“Today we praise the Lord,” said 40 Days for Life director of Latin American campaigns Lourdes Varela, who noted that the former house of death spent years covered in pro-abortion graffiti before reopening as a spa. “We are thankful for his mercy!”

Hamilton, Ontario

Maeve is the youth and outreach coordinator for Canada’s Campaign Life Coalition and the 40 Days for Life campaign leader in Hamilton.

“The first morning I went out, I was greeted by a group of devout Christian women [praying] on their knees,” Maeve said. “I decided to join them. It was such a liberating and peaceful experience, knowing that our fear of public witness is fueled by Satan himself and can be driven out when we trust in God’s intercession.”

Maeve implored other young people across Canada to participate in–or even start their own–40 Days for Life campaigns: “We need prayer warriors across the country, especially those who are willing to stand in the public square.”

Spring Valley, New York

Eileen is leading her 32nd 40 Days for Life vigil in Spring Valley–dating all the way back to the very first nationally coordinated campaign in 2007!

So far this campaign, vigil participants have arrived to pray at an unexpectedly closed-for-the-day Planned Parenthood location on multiple occasions!

“Please pray for the employees and volunteers at the Spring Valley Planned Parenthood,” Eileen exhorted her volunteers. “Please pray for all those who thought they had no choice and need to know that we love them and God loves them still so very much.”
