Joe Biden celebrated abortion on Tuesday night during his State of the Union address — and trashed pro-life states that are working hard to protect babies from abortions.
Biden started his abortion remarks taking a shot at the Supreme Court after it overturned Roe v. Wade.
“Congress must restore the right the Supreme Court took away last year and codify Roe v. Wade to protect every woman’s constitutional right to choose,” Biden said. “The vice president and I are doing everything we can to protect access to reproductive health care and safeguard patient privacy.”
Then he promised to veto pro-life bills in Congress that would ban abortions – either protecting babies from conception, their detectable heartbeat, or when babies are viable.
“But already, more than a dozen states are enforcing extreme abortion bans,” he added. “Make no mistake; if Congress passes a national abortion ban, I will veto it.”
Some 14 states have passed near total bans on aborting unborn babies and six more states have bans that could protect babies if upheld in court.
Biden’s administration has been working aggressively to expand the killing of unborn babies in abortions since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last year.
Since the Dobbs v. Jackson ruling, 14 states have begun enforcing laws that protect unborn babies from abortion. But Biden and Democrats have been spreading false claims about these laws, claiming they endanger women’s health – likely a reason for the Zurawskis’ invitation Tuesday.
The law’s banning abortions – and others like it across the country – allows doctors to intervene when the pregnant mother’s life is at risk, and treat miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies.

Pro-life leader Marjorie Dannenfelser hit on misleading claims about pro-life laws.
“Let’s be very clear: Every pro-life law in the country allows necessary and timely medical treatment to save the life of a pregnant woman in an emergency,” said Dannenfelser, president of SBA Pro-Life America.
Dr. Ingrid Skop, a Texas OB-GYN and director of medical affairs at the Charlotte Lozier Institute, also refuted Democrats’ false claim that pro-life laws prevent doctors from intervening to save a pregnant woman’s life.
“Pro-life laws protect unborn children, but they continue to protect the lives of women as well,” Skop said.
The Biden administration and Democratic Party support a radical pro-abortion agenda that calls for unrestricted, legal and taxpayer-funded abortions everywhere in the U.S.
This position is wildly out of touch with most Americans. Two new polls show growing public support for legal protections for unborn babies. A Marist College poll found 69 percent of Americans support limiting or banning abortions, up from 62 percent in June. Another new poll from UMass Amherst found a 5-percent drop in those who say Congress should pass a law to make abortions legal nation-wide and a 6-percent increase in support for a national abortion ban, WCVB News reports.
For nearly 50 years under Roe, abortions destroyed more than 64 million unborn babies in abortions. Only now that Roe has been overturned may states again protect the right to life for all human beings, born and unborn.
