Jill Biden Will Have Abortion Activist Sit With Her at State of the Union

A pro-abortion couple from Texas will join First Lady Jill Biden in her box Tuesday for the State of the Union address.

Yet another sign of the Bidens’ pro-abortion commitments, the first lady invited Austin couple Amanda and Josh Zurawski to sit with her as President Joe Biden speaks, according to the Catholic News Agency.

Many expect the president to bring up the abortion issue during his second State of the Union address. His administration has been working aggressively to expand the killing of unborn babies in abortions since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last year.

Since the Dobbs v. Jackson ruling, 14 states have begun enforcing laws that protect unborn babies from abortion. But Biden and Democrats have been spreading false claims about these laws, claiming they endanger women’s health – likely a reason for the Zurawskis’ invitation Tuesday.

The Zurawskis blame the Texas abortion ban for nearly killing Amanda last year when she was pregnant, KFOR News reports. When her water broke, Amanda Zurawski said doctors refused to provide her with care and she nearly died of sepsis; her daughter was stillborn, according to the report.

The Zurawskis’ situation is tragic, but the Texas abortion ban is not to blame. The law – and others like it across the country – allows doctors to intervene when the pregnant mother’s life is at risk, and treat miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies.

Pro-life leader Marjorie Dannenfelser predicted that Biden will repeat false and misleading claims about pro-life laws in his speech Tuesday.

“Americans will hear a tragic and frightening, but deeply misleading story about post-Dobbs America tonight – the idea that the pro-life movement is willing to let women die. That is a blatant lie. Let’s be very clear: Every pro-life law in the country allows necessary and timely medical treatment to save the life of a pregnant woman in an emergency,” said Dannenfelser, president of SBA Pro-Life America.

Dr. Ingrid Skop, a Texas OB-GYN and director of medical affairs at the Charlotte Lozier Institute, also refuted Democrats’ false claim that pro-life laws prevent doctors from intervening to save a pregnant woman’s life.

“Pro-life laws protect unborn children, but they continue to protect the lives of women as well,” Skop said.

The Biden administration and Democratic Party support a radical pro-abortion agenda that calls for unrestricted, legal and taxpayer-funded abortions everywhere in the U.S.

This position is wildly out of touch with most Americans. Two new polls show growing public support for legal protections for unborn babies. A Marist College poll found 69 percent of Americans support limiting or banning abortions, up from 62 percent in June. Another new poll from UMass Amherst found a 5-percent drop in those who say Congress should pass a law to make abortions legal nation-wide and a 6-percent increase in support for a national abortion ban, WCVB News reports.

For nearly 50 years under Roe, abortions destroyed more than 64 million unborn babies in abortions. Only now that Roe has been overturned may states again protect the right to life for all human beings, born and unborn.
