Planned Parenthood Tries to Get 911 to Cover Up Botched Abortion By Not Using Lights and Sirens

On the afternoon of September 9, 2022, Kalamazoo Health Center – Planned Parenthood in Kalamazoo, Michigan, made a call to 911. The emergency involved a 37-year-old woman bleeding out.

Coded “Priority 1: High” on the computer-aided dispatch transcript, it also revealed that two rescue vehicles were dispatched, an EMS ambulance and the Kalamazoo Department of Public Rescue.

This facility was responsible for the death of a beautiful, vibrant young woman, 24-year-old Cree Erwin on July 3, 2016. She was found by her mother “cold as ice” as a result of complications from the abortion performed at Kalamazoo Health Center – Planned Parenthood three days before.

It is difficult to fathom that any employee of this Planned Parenthood would be oblivious to the seriousness of this type of emergency, especially in light of Erwin’s death just six years ago. However, the employee who called 911 communicated with the dispatcher as if he was an event planner inviting a group of friends to a dinner party.

“We have a Med 2, and I wonder if you guys can join us,” he said in a serenely self-possessed tone.

He went on to give specific instructions for his invited guests concerning entry and parking, etc., for what was not a dinner party at all.

“They are asking for ‘a silent approach’ or ‘early shutdown,’ and they’ll be using the rear entrance there,” he said, sounding like a Matradee at this point.

Abortion clinics have a well-established protocol for hiding the regularity and severity of medical emergencies. And the language used by clinic callers can often be disconcertingly inappropriate and perplexingly unsympathetic.

In this case, Operation Rescue has provided its own interpretation of the phrases used:

“I wonder if you guys can join us”
Come save this hemorrhaging woman’s life! This is going to be a major lawsuit!

“Silent approach”
Do not use sirens. We want to keep this under wraps – nothing to see here! Drive slower if you must. We need you to prioritize the protection of our reputation.

“Early shut down”
If emergency medical personnel are not willing or able to travel without lights and sirens, at least tell them to turn the lights and sirens off when they get close. (Again, nothing to see here!)

Abortion clinics almost always request that emergency medical service personnel use the back entrance. The reason is self-explanatory. The emergency must be kept out of the public eye, out of view of the patients and their family and friends, and of course pro-lifers who may capture the scene with photos and video.

Very little information was relayed about the condition of the hemorrhaging woman during the 911 call – a publicly available record. No one asked or communicated whether she was stable, breathing normally, or experiencing shock symptoms.

“The abortion cartel heartlessly kills children in the womb while claiming to administer ‘healthcare,’” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “When a woman experiences a life-threatening hemorrhage, the top priority should be the patient and the quickest, most thorough, skilled emergency care – not the reputation of the baby killers. But nothing hurts an organization’s bottom line like a reputation that creates fear in the hearts of its potential customers.

“We grieve over the death that almost certainly occurred – that of an innocent child,” said Newman. “And we hope and pray that if this woman survived, she will recognize the evil of abortion, as well as the callousness of the abortion providers to which she subjected herself. We also pray that she will repent, receive God’s forgiveness, and eventually, by God’s grace, allow herself the gift of mourning the loss of her own child.”
