Governors Gavin Newsom and Michelle Lujan Grisham Implement Abortions Up to Birth

The fall of Roe v. Wade has opened the door back up for state leaders to regulate abortion and help vulnerable women to choose life in the hopes of saving their children’s lives — sparing them the agonizing aftereffects of abortion.

But the dark cloud of death has not been deterred from continuing to creep in. Pro-abortion governors Gavin Newsom of California and Michelle Lujan Grisham of New Mexico made their moves for these souls.

“Investing taxpayer funding to advertise abortions in a neighboring state is doubly reprehensible,” said Jor-El Godsey, president of Heartbeat International. “First, it serves Big Abortion’s profiteering at the expense of worthy products from that state. Second, it subsidizes the multi-billion-dollar Big Abortion fat cats to bolster their bottom line.”

“Politicians bought and paid for by Big Abortion electioneering is a travesty,” he added. “Public servants should serve the interest of the public and not special interest profits.”

Let’s talk about these so-called public servants.

First, there is Newsom.

He spent campaign dollars to display billboards in life states like Mississippi and Oklahoma. He even went as far as to co-opt scripture to claim that pushing abortion equates to showing love to women (Mark 12:31 – love your neighbor as yourself).

Is Newsom making the case that Christ favors abortions? The killing of children?

A more apt passage here would be Isaiah 5:20 —“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”

And Newsom did not stop there. The recently nearly recalled governor also purchased similar advertising in Texas, Indiana, Ohio, South Carolina, and South Dakota.

As evidenced in the linked tweets, he shared the billboard images while publicly taunting the respective pro-life governors.

“I’m doing this because I’m privileged to be able to do it,” Newsom stated in an interview with the Washington Post. “I’m doing this because I care. I’m doing it because the people that support my candidacy support this. And when many heard about this, they wanted to support additional efforts like it, to be fully transparent with you.”South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem was having none of it.

The South Dakota Newsom abortion billboard reads: “South Dakota doesn’t own your body. You do,” and features an image of a woman in handcuffs.

In his tweet about South Dakota, Newsom told Noem, “This will be launching in your state today.”

In response, Noem tweeted the following:

“In South Dakota, we are a destination for FREEDOM and LIFE. Now that you’ve run your billboards in SD, why don’t you get to work cleaning up the human feces on the streets of your cities and turning the lights back on. By the way, did you write this tweet in the dark?”

Now on to New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham.

Her approach was different. She made a sneaky executive move to lure vulnerable women living in Texas, a life state, to New Mexico for abortion.

Grisham signed an executive order that routed $10 million in state funds toward the construction of a new abortion facility on the Texas-New Mexico border. She wanted to make it as easy as possible to get these women to cross state lines so they could kill their children.

Interestingly, not all New Mexico residents are in league with Grisham.

The city of Hobbs, N.M. (which sits near the Texas border) recently passed an ordinance that blocks abortion clinics from operating.

This caused a problem for the Whole Woman’s Health Clinic abortion facility that used to operate in Texas.

But given Texas’s life laws, the abortion provider was hoping to cross over into Hobbs or its neighboring city of Clovis. That city has also been mulling a similar decision but has since put it on hold for further debate.

Despite the fall of Roe, the darkness of the abortion-pushing left will not cease. The battle for the souls of vulnerable women and the lives of their unborn children is at stake.

That is why it’s so important to remain supportive of those who hear the siren’s call of the Big Abortion. We need to let them instead hear and see the truth. And choose the right path.

We hope you will join us.
