Actor Kevin Sorbo cried when he read about a hospital ultrasound technician who unknowingly was called to help abort a second-trimester unborn baby at work one day.

Knowing the man’s horrific story needed to be shared, he agreed to help the pro-life organization Choice42 tell it through a new video, “The Procedure.”

“We need every single person in the world, pro-life or pro-choice, to see this, to wake up to the horror of what we’ve done over the last 50 years” to babies in the womb, Sorbo told Faithwire in a new interview.

Sorbo (“Hercules,” “God’s Not Dead”) served as the voice-over talent in the 4-minute animated film. A true story, it follows the ultrasound technician as he watches the unborn baby struggle for her life while the abortionist pulls her apart limb by limb. The man quits his job afterward, but, according to Choice42, he still feels haunted by the baby’s violent death more than 20 years later.

“I read his story and it made me cry reading what he had to be forced to witness, because he didn’t wanna be part of this,” Sorbo told Faithwire. “He describes exactly what he saw with this baby trying to hide from this doctor with his forceps ripping off one arm, then a leg, then another arm … watching the baby just die and the heartbeat stopping.”

Sorbo said the film, produced by the new streaming service LOOR, is “incredibly powerful” because it shows the violence of abortion.

“It’s really unbelievable and pathetic that we have brainwashed three generations now to say that this is okay,” he said. “It’s murder and it makes me so incensed to think that people are so desensitized to the murder of another human being. It’s unbelievable what we’re doing.”

Since being published earlier this month, “The Procedure” has garnered more than 75,000 views on YouTube and more than 50,000 on Twitter.

Choice42 expressed hope that the film will help people understand the truth about what abortions do “to tiny humans in the womb.” Its goal is to educate the public and “encourage people to boldly speak out about the human rights violation of our time, even though it is considered politically incorrect to do so.”

Based on Centers for Disease Control abortion data, it appears that at least 40,699 second-trimester unborn babies were killed this way in 2019 alone. However, the number is an underestimate because some states do not report their abortion numbers to the CDC.
