A leader of the pro-abortion group We Testify celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday by expressing gratitude for being able to abort two of her unborn babies.

Writing at The Nation, Nikiya Natale, deputy director of We Testify, said some women do celebrate their abortions, and there is nothing wrong with that, according to Townhall.

She expressed frustration that there is a “stigma” even among many pro-choice people about women who have multiple abortions or celebrate their abortions.

“Many people who have abortions celebrate their experience,” Natale wrote, Newsmax reports. “And since we at We Testify know this time of year can be especially difficult for people who’ve had abortions — who want to feel love and acceptance from their families, but who may not receive that validation — my colleagues and I are sharing appreciation for our abortions.

“No matter if it’s their first abortion or fourth, people should be supported in whatever they decide, every time,” she continued.

Natale said she struggles to be thankful this Thanksgiving because of Roe v. Wade being overturned, but she is grateful abortions were still legal in Texas when she had hers. In her mind, her two abortions let her control when to become a parent; in reality, however, she already was a parent.

Her column featured several other women who also expressed gratitude that they could abort their unborn babies. One, Savannah Williams of Bloomfield, New Jersey, said she was able to finish college and start her own business, instead of struggle to care for “two small children whom I wasn’t ready for.”

“I am thankful for the freedom of self. Some people may call this selfish, but I don’t think it is,” Williams said.

Another woman from Virginia said she wants to end the “stigma against multiple abortions.”

“… I realized I needed to celebrate my life, my abortions, and how thankful I was for each abortion I had,” the woman said. “Why can’t there be an abortion narrative where people are happy, had choice, and created the life that they wanted?”

Because most people recognize the truth. Every abortion destroys the life of a unique and irreplaceable human being who deserved a right to life and depended on his or her mother for care. There is a “stigma” to abortion because it is wrong, and most people – even those who believe abortions should be allowed in difficult circumstances – recognize that carelessly aborting unborn children is nothing to celebrate.
