Just over 100 days have passed since the historic Dobbs decision restored the right of the people and their elected representatives to enact laws protecting unborn children and their mothers.
Two dozen states have laws in effect or soon to be in effect that are anticipated to protect as many as 200,000 unborn children annually. Every state with strong pro-life laws on the books allows necessary and timely medical treatment to save the life of a pregnant woman.
In response, the Biden-Harris administration today announced $6 million in new taxpayer-funded grants to promote abortion on demand without limits up to the moment of birth. The administration further attacked legislation introduced by U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and U.S. Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) that would set a minimum federal limit on late abortions after 15 weeks, a point by which unborn children can feel pain.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America celebrated the lives saved since the Dobbs decision and slammed the administration’s pro-abortion extremism in a statement:
“While two dozen states are poised to protect the unborn and their mothers, saving as many as 200,000 lives a year thanks to the historic Dobbs victory, radical Democrats led by the Biden-Harris administration are determined to use the full weight of the federal government to impose abortion on demand until birth with no limits, paid for by taxpayers, nationwide. Their agenda is wildly out of step with America,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Pro-abortion Democrats across the country will go to any lengths to silence pro-life advocates and dehumanize unborn children, even denying that they have beating hearts by six weeks and ignoring the excruciating pain they feel during late abortions by at least 15 weeks. Yet 72% of voters – including large majorities of women, Independents and rank-and-file Democrats – support a commonsense limit no later than 15 weeks, which would bring us closer in line with our European allies and further away from the extreme policies of North Korea and China.
“The contrast couldn’t be clearer. Our ground team is working tirelessly to reach millions of voters to educate them about the lives at stake in this year’s critical elections. We urge pro-life candidates everywhere to be bold and go on offense. Democrats who think pro-abortion extremism is their winning ticket are making a major political mistake.”
Pro-abortion extremism on the part of Democrats and the Biden-Harris administration includes:
- Conducting an FBI raid on peaceful pro-life activists at home while refusing to prosecute and condemn violence against pro-life organizations and individuals.
- Pushing the deceptively named “Women’s Health Protection Act,” legislation that would force all 50 states to allow abortion without limits by wiping away nearly all state level limits on abortion, even protections for babies and women late in pregnancy.
- Expanding abortion on demand through the Department of Veterans Affairs in violation of federal and state laws.
- Illegally ordering hospitals, doctors and other health care personnel to carry out abortions even against their medical judgment.
- Pledging to end the Senate filibuster to impose abortion on demand, and more.
