Another new poll shows Americans want limits on killing babies in aboritons.
While the liberal media and Democrats make it appear Americans support abortion o0n demand just because abortion activists are upset that states are protecting babies, polling data keeps confirming Americans do not support unlimited abortions up to birth.
The national survey of 20,799 U.S. adults by The 19th and SurveyMonkey, conducted from August 22 through August 29, reveals that less than a third (31%) think abortion should be “legal in all cases.” But, two-thirds (65%) believe it should have at least some restrictions, including 10% who want an outright ban “in all cases.”
Sixty-six percent (66%) of Independents and 86% of Republicans and those who lean Republican think there should be limitations on abortion, compared to about half (47%) of Democrats/leaners. Among female respondents, 61% say abortion should be restricted, compared to 70% of males.
While Democrats are counting on the issue of abortion to tip November’s midterm elections in their favor, survey results show that the issue of abortion isn’t a much of a motivator influencing respondents’ decision to vote.
“Jobs and the economy” (24%) and “preserving democracy” (24%) tied for the top response to the question of “What is motivating you the most to vote?” – more than three times the 7% who said “abortion” is their main reason for voting. Ten percent (10%) of Democrats cited abortion as their biggest motivation, compared to 8% of Independents and just 3% of Republicans.

December 2021: A Harvard-Harris poll found found 32% of Americans want to repeal Roe v. Wade entirely and another 24% of Americans believe the Supreme Court should uphold the Mississippi abortion ban at issue in the recent Supreme Court case, which bans abortions on unborn babies up to 15 weeks. That’ 56% of Americans who are for overturning completely or setting the abortion limit at 15 weeks, which can be done by overturning Roe.
July 2020: Gallup found 55% of Americans take a pro-life position on abortion wanting all (21%) or almost all 39% abortions made illegal.
June 2020: A CBS poll found just 43% of Americans think abortions should be generally available while 55% of Americans say it should either be more limited or should not be permitted altogether.
January 2020: Gallup found 58% of Americans oppose abortion on demand.
May 2019: A new Hill-HarrisX survey found that 55 percent of voters support laws banning abortions after six weeks – when an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable.
