Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman stumbled through a pro-abortion speech Sunday near Philadelphia, calling himself “John Fetterwoman” at one point, as concerns grow about his health and extreme pro-abortion agenda.

Fetterman, a pro-abortion Democrat, is running against pro-life Republican Dr. Memhet Oz to fill an open U.S. Senate seat. U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, a pro-life Republican, is retiring. Although Fetterman is ahead in the polls, his physical health after suffering a major stroke recently has raised concerns about his ability to serve.

On Sunday at the pro-abortion campaign rally, Fetterman spoke haltingly and sometimes stumbled over his words. He began the speech by holding up a pink T-shirt and introducing himself as “John Fetterwoman,” Breitbart reports.

“Women are the reason we can win. Let me say that again: Women are the reason we win,” Fetterman said, later adding, “Don’t piss women off.”

He spoke in an awkward, halting fashion, telling the crowd at one point, “Abortion is the ballot now- in November.”

Fetterman thinks abortions should be legal for any reason through all nine months of pregnancy and taxpayers should be forced to pay for them, and he wants to end the filibuster. He recently described abortion as “sacred” and promised to support legislation allowing abortion on demand “without any qualification whatsoever.”

These positions are extreme and out of touch with most Americans, including many Democrats. However, Fetterman attempted to portray Oz as the extremist because he supports protections for unborn babies.

“This decision: should [it] be made up to Dr. Oz? Or to a woman and a real doctor, to choose?” Fetterman said Sunday, according to the report. “Oz believes abortion is murder… No exceptions: rape or incest…”

Later, Oz responded that he supports pro-life laws with exceptions “in cases of rape, incest and to save the life of the mother,” The Hill reports. Oz, a pro-life Republican, said he believes human life begins at conception and supports laws that protect unborn babies from abortion in most cases – a position more in line with the American public.

Polls consistently show a strong majority of Americans, including many Democrats, support protections for unborn babies from abortion – especially after the first trimester. Most Americans also believe parents should be involved when their underage daughter wants an abortion, and they oppose their tax dollars being used for elective abortions.

Fetterman supports a radical pro-abortion bill nicknamed the Abortion Without Limits Up to Birth Act that would force states to legalize abortion on demand and force taxpayers to pay for them. The bill also would get rid of bans on sex-selection abortions and parental consent laws.

Pennsylvania is a key swing state, and Democrats hope to gain another seat in the U.S. Senate with Fetterman. Polls show the Democrat candidate ahead, but Fetterman recently suffered a stroke and has refused to debate Oz. Even major news outlets are beginning to raise questions about the Democrat’s health and ability to serve.
