Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman told Pennsylvania residents yesterday that he will do everything in his power to ensure that babies can be killed in abortions.

I’ll fight as hard as I can to protect women’s reproductive freedom and codify abortion rights into federal law,” the pro-abortion candidate confirmed.

Fetterman is referring to a Democrat bill that Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are pushing in Congress that would legalize abortions nationwide up to birth, overriding the will of residents of pro-life states and killing viable babies in abortions.

Fetterman said, “The choice in this election is clear” and he’s right. That’s because his opponent Mehmet Oz is on record saying he is pro-life.

Oz says he’s pro-life and that he believes human life begins at conception. The comments come as new audio surfaced yesterday of Oz saying he thinks killing babies in aboritons is “murder.”

According to an NBC News report, Oz told Pennsylvania voters in May that he’s pro-life and opposes killing unborn children.

“I do believe life starts at conception, and I’ve said that multiple times,” Oz, a Republican, said at the time in a tele-town hall, going on to add: “If life starts at conception, why do you care what stage our hearts starts beating at? It’s, you know, it’s still murder, if you were to terminate a child whether their heart’s beating or not.”

“If you want to know the actual date, it’s usually at nine weeks that the heart starts beating. Prior to that, you have cells that are starting to connect with each other but they’re not beating in the way that you would see it on an echocardiogram,” he said.

A section on Oz’s issues page says he “knows how precious life is and is 100% Pro-Life.” In an accompanying video, Oz says: “I’m pro-life. Life starts at conception. That’s how I feel.”

In comments after the audio surfaced, Oz’s campaign told NBC that he is still pro-life on abortion.

“Dr. Oz is pro-life and supports exceptions for rape, incest, and life of the mother,” it said. “It’s quite the contrast from John Fetterman who supports abortion up until the moment of birth.”
