Anthony Fauci Will Finally Resign in December

Anthony Fauci is by far the most controversial government employee in Washington. And after decades of working at the highest levels of the federal government, he will finally resign in December.

For decades, Fauci has been a key health official in the federal government, serving as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and, more recently, a lead advisor on COVID-19 under Biden and former President Donald Trump. He currently serves as Biden’s chief medical adviser.

Fauci has come under massive criticism for his mishandling of the COVID pandemic, his hypocrisy and misleading Americans about everything from how people died to whether masks and vaccines work.

The Washington Post has more on him stepping down:

Anthony S. Fauci, the nation’s preeminent infectious-disease expert who achieved unprecedented fame while enduring withering political attacks as the face of the coronavirus pandemic response under two presidents, plans to step down in December after more than a half-century of public service, he announced Monday.

In a wide-ranging interview with The Washington Post, Fauci said he wanted to step down from his government post while still healthy, energetic and passionate about his field and enthusiastic about the next stage of his career.

Fauci emphasized that he is not exiting the public square. He said he hopes to teach, lecture, write — perhaps a book, along with essays and other types of writing — and use his experience to inspire and teach a younger generation of scientists.

“I love everything about this place. … But even with that, I said I’m going to have to leave some time,” Fauci said. “I don’t want to be here so long that I get to the point where I lose a step.”

Fauci has also been heavily criticized for taxpayer-funded research with aborted baby body parts.

Students for Life Action recently called for Fauci to be removed from office after his agency, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, was caught using tax dollars to fund an experiment that involved implanting aborted babies’ scalps onto rodents.

In 2021, the Center for Medical Progress exposed how Fauci’s agency gave $61 million to the University of Pittsburgh in 2019 for scientific research, and some of that money funded a gristly experiment involving aborted baby body parts being attached to mice and rats.

In one study, scientists used scalps from aborted babies between 18 and 20 weeks of pregnancy to create “humanized” rodents to study the human immune system. The researchers described it as “full-thickness human skin.” Along with the study, the researchers published photos of their experiment – horrific images that show tufts of babies’ hair growing on the rodents.

A university spokesperson previously told The College Fix that its researchers follow “all laws and regulations governing fetal tissue research.”

Another recent investigation by the Daily Wire found that Fauci’s agency also gave tax dollars to a study at the University of California-San Francisco that used organs from potentially viable aborted babies to study bacterial growth.

According to the study, researchers used “donated” intestine, kidneys, spleens and lymph nodes from aborted babies at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.

The babies’ organs “were collected by a single operator using sterile tools within 10 minutes of termination procedure and placed into sterile containers” and then “transported in media on ice and processed within 2 hours after collection,” according to the study.

The researchers acknowledged several sources of taxpayer funding for their study, including a National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases grant from which the university used $113,727 since 2017 (Grant No. F31 AI136336), the Daily Wire reports. Other taxpayer-funded grants came from the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health.

Under the Obama administration, at least $77 million tax dollars were spent on research projects that used aborted baby body parts, according to The Hill. The Trump administration began cutting off funding to the unethical research and created a new ethical advisory board to prevent further funding. However, the Biden administration quickly reversed the actions when he took office.

Fauci also has promoted abortion groups internationally. In a speech to the World Health Organization in January 2021, he touted Biden’s plans to reverse the Mexico City policy and force American taxpayers to fund Planned Parenthood’s international branch and other pro-abortion groups across the world.

A few months later, he participated in an online “Future of Healthcare” event with the nation’s largest abortion chain, Planned Parenthood.

According to Forbes, Fauci is the highest paid employee in all of the federal government, with a salary of $417,608 in 2019.
