Pro-life advocates have been targets of a wave of violence over the past few months for their work saving unborn babies from abortion.

But this week, New York Congressman Hakeem Jeffries described pro-life Republicans as the real “threat in this country.”

Jeffries, the U.S. House Democrat Caucus Chair, blasted pro-lifers during a news conference, calling them “extreme on reproductive freedom.”

“The threat right now in this country to the American people are extreme MAGA Republicans,” the Democrat leader said. “That’s the threat. That’s the problem. That’s the crisis that we confront, extreme MAGA Republicans. Why? The are extreme on reproductive freedom.”

In reality, the only “threat” that pro-lifers pose is to the billion-dollar abortion industry and the money it donates to Democrats’ political campaigns.

Pro-life advocates are working to save unborn babies’ lives from violence, support pregnant and parenting families in need, and restore human rights to babies in the womb. For doing so, they are facing threats and violence from the extreme pro-abortion left.

According to the Catholic News Agency, 76 churches and pro-life organizations have been targets of arson and vandalism since May when news leaked that the U.S. Supreme Court would overturn Roe v. Wade. CNA reported the total last week, and there have been more crimes reported since then, including vandalism in Georgia, Wisconsin and Massachusetts.

Violence and hostility have been directed at the Supreme Court justices and their families, too. Justice Brett Kavanaugh was the target of an assassination attempt, and neighbors of the justices have said they are afraid to send their children outside to play because of the pro-abortion protesters.

In June, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a report warning of continued “domestic violence” directed at churches, faith-based pro-life organizations, judges and lawmakers in response to the abortion ruling.

However, last week, U.S. House Democrats blocked a resolution to condemn the pro-abortion violence.

Meanwhile, Democrat political leaders continue to use hostile language to attack the pro-life movement and its life-saving work. Earlier this month, U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, called for pro-life pregnancy resource centers to be shut down, claiming they “torture” women by providing free diapers and cribs. Another Democrat state lawmaker in Washington state recently praised the vandalism of a pro-life billboard, according to 770 KTTH.

The real threat to America is not coming from pro-lifers. It’s from those who believe it’s good and normal to kill unborn babies in abortions for any reason throughout pregnancy.
