A Texas insurance company took a stand for life this week as many other big name companies announce their support for abortion.

According to Fox News host Sean Hannity’s website, Buffer Insurance in Texas is offering new benefits to help families choose life for their unborn babies, including maternity and paternity leave and adoption assistance.

“We saw all the mega-corporations … making it easy for people to still have these continued abortions. So, as a small business owner, we thought it was important to take the opposite stand, make it easy for our employees to expand their families,” company president Sean Turner told Fox & Friends.

In a Facebook post, Buffer Insurance said the benefits are its response to the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade in June.

In addition to paying employees’ pregnancy and birthing medical costs, the company said employees may take paid time off for maternity and paternity leave. The company also promised to pay employees’ medical costs associated with adoption.

Buffer Insurance said it wants to take “the opposite stand” of pro-abortion companies like Disney, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Kroger and Yelp, which recently promised to begin paying employees’ travel expenses for abortions. Find the full list here.

These pro-abortion companies are not helping women by offering incentives to abort their unborn babies. Women already face intense pressure to have abortions, sometimes from partners and other times from their employers. What they and their babies need is real support, and pro-life advocates are striving to provide it.
