A new poll shows a majority of Americans say major companies should not take a position on abortion. The poll comes at a time when corporations like Disney, Uber, Levis, Apple, and many others are announcing they will pay travel expenses for employees to travel out of state to have abortions.
“By 51% to 23%, Americans say major companies should not take a public position on abortion,” the YouGov poll confirmed. The remaining 26% had no position.
Republicans, by a 75%-9% margin, said major companies should not take a position on abortion while Democrats were relatively split 33%-43%.
Even women agree 49-23% that major businesses should not have a position on abortion. Independents agreed 54-16%.

Meanwhile, Walt Disney World, a company founded to bring joy and entertainment to children, told employees Friday that it will pay their travel expenses to have their unborn babies aborted.
The news came after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in a historic ruling Friday morning. The Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health decision means states may protect unborn babies by banning abortions again,.
The Orange County Register reports Walt Disney World announced the new employee “benefit” in direct response to the high court ruling.
The company, which employs about 80,000 people in Florida, described the killing of unborn babies in abortions as “quality healthcare” and told Reuters that it is “committed” to ensuring its employees have access to abortions, according to the report.
A new Florida law that bans abortions after 15 weeks is scheduled to go into
effect July 1. Though not a total abortion ban, pro-life advocates believe the law will save thousands of unborn babies from mid- and late-term abortions every year.
This is not the first time Disney has waded into abortion politics. In 2019, the entertainment giant threatened to boycott the state of Georgia after lawmakers passed a law to protect unborn babies by banning abortions once their heartbeat is detectable, about six weeks of pregnancy.
For nearly 50 years, Roe v. Wade forced states to legalize abortions for any reason up to viability and allowed states to legalize abortions without limits up to birth. As a result, more than 63 million unborn babies and hundreds of mothers died in supposedly “safe,” legal abortions.
On Friday in the Mississippi case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, the high court returned the authority to make decisions about abortion to the states.
In the ruling, the Supreme Court said the court was wrong to describe abortion as a constitutional right under Roe because no such right exists.

“The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the majority decision.
Now, states are protecting unborn babies from abortion again. A recent analysis by the Guttmacher Institute predicted that 24 states will keep abortions legal while 26 will ban them.
Some of these states still have pre-Roe laws that prohibit abortions, and others have trigger laws that immediately outlaw the killing of unborn babies in abortions once Roe is overturned. Some also have multiple pro-life laws in place including heartbeat laws and other legislation that limit or ban abortions and go into effect now that Roe is gone.
Meanwhile, pro-life advocates across the country also have been working to increase support services for families in need. Pro-lifers run thousands of pregnancy centers and maternity homes in the U.S., as well as scholarship programs, counseling services, financial aid services and more to help families in need. These programs give families hope, encouragement and the chance to overcome their struggles so that no mother ever feels like she needs to abort her unborn baby to survive.
