Standing on a pew and shouting, an almost naked abortion activist interrupted a small Michigan Catholic church on Sunday before being removed from the building.
The incident is the latest in a growing string of harassment and violence since news broke about a leaked draft ruling showing the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. Dozens of churches and pro-life organizations have been victims of arson, vandalism, threats and harassment, and pro-abortion radicals are threatening more violence if the court does overturn Roe this summer.
The Catholic News Agency reports three female abortion activists disrupted the Mass at St. Veronica Parish in Eastpointe, near Detroit, including one who was almost completely naked.
A video of the incident shows the nearly naked woman standing on a pew and shouting, “Overturn Roe? Hell, no!” and “Abortion without apology!”, which disrupted the priest’s homily. Two others stood near the front of the church waving green bandannas, a pro-abortion symbol, before ushers removed them from the church.

Archdiocese of Detroit spokesman Ned McGrath told CNA that the church called local police about the incident.
“All religious communities should be free to worship without fear,” McGrath said. “In the Archdiocese of Detroit, we are committed to accompanying women and families facing difficult or unexpected pregnancies and advocating for laws that protect the lives of unborn babies and mothers.”
Disrupting a religious service is illegal. According to the Thomas More Society, a conservative legal group, federal law prohibits the “obstruction of or interference with a person’s First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship.”
However, pro-abortion activists have done so several times in recent weeks.
The three at St. Veronica may be associated with Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights, a pro-abortion group that has been organizing protests at churches across the country, according to CNA.
“Several cities will be hosting protests outside prominent churches in their towns,” Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights stated on its website ahead of planned Mother’s Day protests. “These can look like a group of people holding signs wearing Handmaid’s Tale outfits, passing out flyers outside to church goers or doing a die-in.”
Its website also praised an incident where abortion activists stripped off their clothes and disrupted a mega-church earlier this month in Houston, Texas. Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights said their actions inspire Americans “to get off the sidelines themselves and join in visible nonviolent mass protest in the streets and everywhere else.”
The Supreme Court leak has drawn massive outrage from abortion activists. Since the news broke in early May, Americans have witnessed a spate of vandalism, arson, assault and threats against churches and pro-life organizations and advocates across the country.
Last week, an alleged assassin with a gun was arrested outside the home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh after the man said he planned to kill the justice, according to police. And over the weekend, a fourth pro-life organization was the victim of arson.
LifeNews has recorded nearly 60 cases of violence, vandalism and intimidation since the leak on the Mississippi abortion case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health. A final ruling on the case is expected this summer, potentially later this month. Incidents since the leak include:
