Pro-abortion activists disrupted Pastor Joel Osteen’s Texas mega-church Sunday, stripping down to their underwear in the middle of the service while shouting, “My body! My choice!”
The Catholic News Agency reports Osteen was beginning his sermon at Lakewood Church, a non-denominational Protestant church in Houston, when three female abortion activists stood up, took off their clothes and shouted pro-abortion slogans and profanity while waving green bandannas.
“It’s my body, my f—— choice!” one woman screamed.
“Overturn Roe? Hell, no!” another shouted as she removed her dress.
Osteen paused briefly as security guards escorted the women out of the sanctuary.
“And we’ll wait just one moment here but God is good and he’s on the throne and he’s in control,” the pastor told the congregation, according to CNA.
Later, the Twitter account Tx4abortion posted a video of the disruption online.

The incident is the latest in dozens of attacks on pro-life advocates and churches since news broke in May about a leaked draft ruling that shows the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. If that happens, states will be allowed to protect unborn babies from abortion again, and the Guttmacher Institute predicts as many as 26 will do so.
Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights leader Julianne D’Eredita, 21, of Austin, told CNA that they chose to protest at Osteen’s church because he has a huge congregation and TV viewership. She said 13 participated in their demonstration Sunday, but most stayed outside.
Here’s more from the report:
The demonstrators were detained by the police and told they would be charged with a crime if they returned, D’Eredita said.
D’Eredita told CNA she attended Osteen’s church as a child and knows Osteen personally. While Osteen has expressed pro-life views in the past, the abortion issue does not play a prominent role in his ministry. D’Eredita said the activist group chose Osteen’s evangelical non-denominational church — whose church building can seat 16,800 — because its broadcasts attract millions of viewers around the world.
Some pro-abortion groups have been calling for churches to be the target of abortion activists’ outrage as it appears likely that the Supreme Court will overturn Roe this summer. Several churches have been vandalized and threatened, and abortion activists have disrupted services at several others in recent weeks. Dozens of pro-life organizations and individuals have been targets of violence and harassment, too.
Even some prominent pro-abortion groups are using words that hint at possible insurrection and violence. Rachel O’Leary Carmona, executive director of Women’s March, recently warned that abortion activists will be “ungovernable” until the government legalizes abortion on demand.
The Supreme Court has not issued a final ruling on the abortion case yet, but the Department of Homeland Security released a report in mid-May warning that radical abortion activists plan to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their law clerks if the court overturns Roe v. Wade. The report indicates these pro-abortion extremists also plan to target churches and other places of worship with violence and vandalism.
