It wasn’t immediately clear how much damage was caused by the attack on the building at 2801 International Lane. A window was also broken and the building was hit with graffiti, said Julaine Appling, president of the lobbying and advocacy organization.
Radical abortion activists have firebombed a pro-life group’s office in Madison, Wisconsin. A leftist radical threw Molotov cocktails into Wisconsin Family Action’s office in the capital city and a picture of the destruction shows the office heavily damaged from the bomb.
The pro-abortion terrorists responsible also vandalized the building and left a threatening message saying “If abortions aren’t safe, then you aren’t either.”
Madison police spokeswoman Stephanie Fryer confirmed Sunday morning that authorities were investigating a fire in the 2800 block of International Lane.
“Due to the suspicious nature of this fire, our arson investigators responded,” Fryer said. “They are actively working this case at this time.”
Appling said she and events coordinator Diane Westphall were getting ready for a Mother’s Day brunch in Watertown when a staff member informed her of the break-in. A person on the way to the airport before dawn saw smoke rising from the building and called police, Appling said.
A Madison Police Department incident report states, “Flames were seen coming from the facility shortly after 6 a.m.” The report states, and Appling confirmed, that nobody was injured.
“What you’re going to see here is a direct threat against us,” Appling said of the attack, coming just days after a leaked U.S. Supreme Court opinion revealed a majority of the high court had agreed to overturn the landmark 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion across the country. “Imagine if somebody had been in the office when this happened. They would have been hurt.”
Abortion activists planned to “raise hell” at churches across the country on Mother’s Day with protests and, some fear, violence as outrage grows in response to a leaked draft opinion from the U.S. Supreme Court that overturns Roe v. Wade.
Pro-life pregnancy centers and pro-life advocates already have been the targets of vandalism, violence and harassment this week in response to the news. At least one Catholic church has, too, and more seems likely in the days ahead.
Fox News reports at least two pro-abortion groups are calling for churches, especially Catholic Churches, to be the target of abortion activists’ outrage.
Ruth Sent Us, a pro-abortion group that allegedly posted the addresses of the Supreme Court justices online publicly to encourage harassment, is calling for protests outside Catholic churches this Sunday, Mother’s Day.

“Whether you’re a ‘Catholic for Choice’, ex-Catholic, of other or no faith, recognize that six extremist Catholics set out to overturn Roe,” the group wrote on Twitter, along with a video of abortion activists appearing to disrupt a Catholic Mass. “Stand at or in a local Catholic Church Sun May 8.”
Another pro-abortion group, Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights, also is encouraging pro-abortion protests “outside of churches” on Mother’s Day, according to the report.
“Raise your voice and raise hell! Silence is your stamp of approval,” its website states. “Abortion on demand and without apology!”
The website states that protests already are scheduled outside prominent churches in several cities across the U.S. It encouraged protesters to “raise hell,” wear Handmaids Tale outfits and conduct “die-ins.” The group also is planning a huge protest on May 14.
But Justice Clarence Thomas says the Supreme Court will not be intimidated.
Thomas has a message for the radical abortion activists who think they can bully the Supreme Court into revising its draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade: You can’t bully us.
Thomas spoke at the 11th Circuit judicial conference in Atlanta where he discussed the Supreme Court’s leaked draft opinion for the first time.
As a society, “we are becoming addicted to wanting particular outcomes, not living with the outcomes we don’t like,” Thomas said.
“We can’t be an institution that can be bullied into giving you just the outcomes you want. The events from earlier this week are a symptom of that.,” Thomas said, according to reports.
Brian Burch, president of Catholic Vote, urged President Joe Biden to condemn the intimidation and threats from abortion activists.
“In the wake of the shameless leak of a draft opinion of the Supreme Court, pro-abortion groups are now threatening to disrupt Catholic churches and to protest outside the homes of Supreme Court justices this Sunday,” Burch said in a statement Thursday. “President Biden must immediately and forcibly condemn these domestic terrorist threats.”
Radical abortion activists also are advocating for pro-life pregnancy centers to be targeted in response to the leaked draft ruling. At least two pregnancy centers were vandalized this week, and pro-life leaders have told LifeNews about being punched, harassed and followed by radical abortion activists at protests.
CBS News reported at least two police officers were injured when a pro-abortion rally turned violent in Los Angeles earlier this week. During another protest in Washington, D.C., a Daily Wire reporter witnessed abortion activists shoving, spitting on and screaming obscenities at a small group of pro-life advocates who were counter-protesting.
Along with the violence of abortion against unborn babies, threats and violence against pro-life advocates also have increased in recent years. LifeNews.com has documented reports of hundreds of incidents in recent years, including bomb threats, assaults, death threats, arson and vandalism.
And violence by abortion activists likely will continue as the U.S. Supreme Court gets ready to issue its final ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health this summer. If the court overturns Roe, the Guttmacher Institute predicts that 26 states would ban abortions.
Since 1973, more than 63 million unborn babies and hundreds of mothers have died in supposedly “safe, legal” abortions.
Polling data shows Americans are decidedly pro-life.
