Kamala Harris lashed out at pro-life Americans on Tuesday for trying to protect unborn babies from abortion, saying, “How dare they try to deny women their rights and their freedoms.”
Speaking at a gala for the pro-abortion group EMILY’S List, Harris was visibly angry as she reacted to the news about a leaked draft opinion from the U.S. Supreme Court that would overturn Roe v. Wade, according to Hot Air.
“There is nothing hypothetical about this moment,” Harris said. “How dare they. How dare they tell a woman what she can do with her own body. How dare they try to stop her from determining her own future. How dare they try to deny women their rights and their freedoms.”
Abortions deny all rights and freedoms to unborn babies, who are unique, irreplaceable living human beings from the moment of conception. Since Roe in 1973, more than 63 million unborn babies and hundreds of mothers have died in supposedly “safe, legal” abortions.

Harris’s position on abortion is radical and out of touch with most Americans. A former U.S. senator, she co-sponsored a bill that would have forced states to legalize the killing of unborn babies in abortions for basically any reason up to birth, even if Roe v. Wade is overturned, and forced taxpayers to pay for them.
To the Democrat leader, killing an unborn baby in an abortion is a “right.”
“It has never been more clear which party wants to expand our rights and which party wants to restricts them,” Harris told the pro-abortion crowd. “Let us fight with everything we’ve got.”

Pro-abortion groups fear the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade this summer, so they are working to elect a pro-abortion majority to the U.S. House and Senate with the hopes of passing legislation that would “codify Roe” into federal law.
The 1973 abortion ruling forces states to legalize the killing of unborn babies in abortions up to viability and allows states to legalize abortions up to birth. Without Roe, states would be allowed to protect unborn babies from abortion again, and the Guttmacher Institute predicts as many as 26 states would do so.
The Supreme Court has the opportunity to overturn Roe through the Mississippi abortion case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health. The leaked draft opinion shows a majority of the justices voting to overturn Roe; however, the document is only a draft, and judges can change their minds.
Chief Justice John Roberts confirmed the draft is real but cautioned that it “does not represent a decision by the Court or the final position of any member.”
