Kentucky Has Been Abortion Free for One Week, No Babies are Dying in Abortions

At Kentucky Right to Life, we’re praising God and we’re thankful—as EMW Women’s Surgical Center in Louisville and Planned Parenthood have been closed for abortions since last week. That is ProLife history!

Every minute, every hour, every day that they remain closed, that means another minute, another hour, another day that women have the opportunity to reconsider. It means another minute, another hour, another day a child’s heart is still beating.

I want to personally, thank you for your unwavering support of Kentucky Right to Life and your commitment to protecting the sanctity of life and especially the life of the most vulnerable in our midst.

Because of your prayers and financial support, Kentucky Right to Life has been blessed to serve as your voice in Frankfort working for months with State Representatives and Senators to draft, amend, craft and support the final passage of HB3 – our ProLife omnibus bill (six ProLife bills in one)!

Kentucky Right to Life commends our ProLife Legislators for their outstanding work this session.

We are extremely proud of our Kentucky Attorney General, Daniel Cameron, and his team as they fight to defend HB3 in the Courts.

Pro abortion advocates have said House Bill 3 imposes an unconstitutional, undue burden on women seeking abortions and they have turned to the Courts to seek relief from the new law.

In Western District Court on Tuesday, Attorney General Daniel Cameron responded to their request for injunction disagreeing with their rationale.

Attorney General Cameron has stated, “Planned Parenthood’s alleged concerns that prompted this lawsuit are based on a flawed interpretation of the requirements of the law”.

For the moment rejoice at these closed doors!

God has allowed us to see and imagine an abortion-free Kentucky. Perhaps, to allow us to prepare for what lies ahead. We know an even more fierce battle is brewing.
