Democrats are the party of abortions up to birth and infanticide, but Joe Biden’s sister claims Americans have it wrong and they’re actually the pro-life party.
That’s the crazy conclusion Valerie Biden Owens draws in her new book.
“We should have been pro-life, for we are the ones advocating for a better life,” she claimed, even though Democrats advocate for no life for the 63 million babies killed in abortions.
Owens, a longtime campaign adviser and political confidante to Biden, will be releasing her memoir titled, “Growing Up Biden: A Memoir” on Tuesday. Fox News Digital received a copy of the book Monday afternoon.
Within the memoir, Owens writes that Democrats picked the wrong term for their abortion stance. Instead of wanting to be called “pro-choice,” she says they should have chosen to be the “pro-life” party because they are advocating for better lives for women.
“Like many women, I harbored complicated feelings on the topic,” Owens writes in the memoir. “I’m pro-choice, but I remain convinced that Democrats chose the wrong term for our side of the issue.”

“We should have been pro-life, for we are the ones advocating for a better life, a life in which a mother gets to determine her future and that of her child,” she writes. “Sometimes, I even accidentally say I’m pro-life, because that’s what it feels like the pro-choice position should have been called.”
Owens has absolutely no room to call herself pro-life when she’s a leader in the party that has prescribed death for tens of millions of unborn children. Democrats literally have legalized abortions up to birth in multiple states like California, Colorado, New Jersey and Maryland — where all or virtually all pro-life limits on abortions have been eliminated. Democrats don’t even have the right to call themselves pro-choice since there is absolutely no choice for unborn babies and since they advocate abortions on demand for women and provide no real support for choices like childbirth or adoption.
Dan Hart of the Family research Council recently wrote how Democrats are the party of abortion.
It’s clear that the Left has decided on an overall strategy about how to handle the unpleasant topics of partial-birth abortion, infanticide, and fetal tissue research—give vague answers and change the subject as quickly as possible. They know that they are in an uncomfortable position because even most “pro-choice” Americans do not support late-term abortion and all that it entails. Yet progressives still cannot bring themselves to say anything that might be construed as a concession to the pro-life cause, so they find themselves indirectly defending infanticide, as HHS Secretary Becerra’s most recent comments illustrate and as former Virginia Governor Ralph Northam’s 2019 comments most infamously exposed.
America must not let the Biden administration get away with taking America down this moral and cultural rat hole where infanticide and child abuse are celebrated as rights. We must spread the word as far and wide as possible on the horrors that are occurring in abortion facilities and with minors who are confused about their sex being permanently sterilized and maimed. We can contact our state lawmakers to ensure that our states have protections for infants born alive after failed abortions and against fetal tissue experimentation. Most importantly, we can stand firm as “pinnacle-issue voters” in the voting booth so that we will elect federal officials who enforce the laws that protect unplanned babies from being killed and protect vulnerable minors from the child abuse of permanent sterilization and the removal of healthy organs.
