Residents of Visalia, California stopped the Planned Parenthood abortion chain from expanding in their community this month after the city council “indefinitely” delayed action on the matter.

Visalia Times Delta reports the City Council “continued indefinitely” a public hearing scheduled for Monday and later removed it from the meeting agenda after receiving numerous complaints.

Lauren Babb, of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, confirmed their plans to expand have been thwarted for now.

“We were forced to give up our sale option due to strong objection from the community,” Babb said, according to the local news. “Our goal is to find a location to give care in Visalia, and we will continue working with community partners to make sure that happens.”

Objections to the plan came from pro-life residents as well as local businesses near the new site where Planned Parenthood had chosen to expand.

Late last year, local real estate developer Dave Paynter expressed concerns about the facility opening next to his Sequoia Mall property after learning that the planned medical facility really was a Planned Parenthood, according to the report.

Paynter also appealed a vote by the city planning commission approving a permit for the project.

It appears that Planned Parenthood hid its plans to expand in Visalia even from city leaders.

Rafael Garcia, senior planner for the city, told the Sun Gazette that he did not know the new medical facility was a Planned Parenthood until they received Paynter’s letter.

In its permit application to the city, the abortion chain did not mention its name. Instead, it described itself as “a leading provider of high-quality healthcare services, including pediatric and adult primary care services, to thousands of women, men, and children throughout California every year, by investing in communities, expanding healthcare to all,” according to the Sun Gazette.

City leaders approved the permit as part of routine business in December with little discussion and no mention of Planned Parenthood, according to the report.

Babb said her employer will keep looking for another location in the city. She also said they do not plan to do abortions at the new facility, the Times Delta reports.

However, every Planned Parenthood refers for abortions if they do not abort unborn babies on-site.

Planned Parenthood provides few actual health services, and it does not offer real choices to pregnant mothers. Its prenatal service numbers are so low that they are almost nonexistent, and former CEO Leana Wen admitted its “core mission” is abortions. Its latest annual report, which is publicly available online, shows more than 354,000 abortions, about 40 percent of all abortions in the U.S.

Meanwhile, the same report showed that many of Planned Parenthood’s actual health services continue to decline. It provided less contraception, sterilizations, cancer screenings, adoption referrals and other women’s health services than the previous year, mirroring a continued downward trend.

Its patient numbers also have been dropping steadily over the past decade amid numerous reports of alleged unethical and illegal activities, including selling aborted baby body partsbotching abortions that killed womencovering up the sexual abuse of minorsdiscriminating against pregnant and racial minority employees, exploiting young girls by selling cross-sex hormones and more.
