Oh, so NOW they care about abortion? This week, there were several big examples of Democratic extremism on abortion. Yet, the networks all ignored them. But on Friday, CBS and NBC both covered Florida passing a 15 week ban on abortion, fretting about it being too severe.

On CBS Mornings, co-host (and Democratic donor) Gayle King alerted, “In other news, Florida’s legislature has passed a bill to ban most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. That’s similar to a Mississippi law that’s now before the Supreme Court.” She worried, “The bill contains no exceptions for cases of rape, incest, or human trafficking. Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to sign it.”

King added, “Florida is one of several states moving to tighten abortion laws. Anticipating a Supreme Court decision which could roll back or even overturn abortion rights established by the historic Roe v. Wade ruling.”

Generally for liberal journalists, “historic” is their code for liberal.

Over on Friday’s Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie reported on the Florida law and connected it to a possible conservative victory: “The U.S. Supreme Court has signaled it would uphold a similar 15-week abortion ban in Mississippi. A decision in that case though is expected later this year.”

This past week, Joe Biden was actually pressed about being a Catholic while holding his radical views on abortion. The network newscasts ignored.

Also this week, the Senate Democrats attempted to codify abortion up to birth, only to be thwarted by the sole moderate in their caucus, Joe Manchin. Yet, none of these stories were covered by the network morning and evening newscasts. Florida’s abortion ban? That’s news because, in the minds of liberal journalists, it’s the extreme opinion.
