No Joe Biden, There is No Right to Kill Babies in Abortions in the Constitution

Joe Biden used the State of the Union address to push abortion on-demand Tuesday night, following his party’s attempt to pass the most extreme anti-Life bill in American history.

Nowhere in the Constitution is there a “right” to kill unborn babies, but Biden said that abortion “[advances]liberty and justice.”

In reality, abortion has robbed liberty and justice from over 63 million preborn children since 1973.

Joe Biden is undoubtedly the most pro-abortion president ever.

Since taking office, Biden and his administration:

  • Sued Texas to block the Texas Heartbeat Act (this was later thrown out by the U.S. Supreme Court)
  • Forced taxpayers to fund abortions overseas
  • Stacked his cabinet with anti-Life radicals, including in the FDA and HHS
  • Rescinded protections that kept Title X taxpayer money away from Planned Parenthood
  • Loosened restrictions on dangerous chemical abortions
  • Nominated a Supreme Court justice praised by pro-abortion groups

Biden did, however, get one thing right: Roe v. Wade is under attack like never before. And that’s a good thing! We made HISTORIC gains in 2021 to protect preborn children, especially through the Texas Heartbeat Act. In 2022, we could even see the Supreme Court weaken or entirely overturn Roe.

Roe v. Wade and subsequent cases allow abortion at any time in pregnancy for any reason.

For almost 50 years, Roe has perpetrated grave injustice against the nation’s most defenseless. The decision has upended our constitutional order, robbing Americans of their ability to enact legislation that protects preborn children. The upcoming Supreme Court case from Mississippi (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) takes a direct shot at Roe, questioning “whether all pre-viability prohibitions on elective abortions are unconstitutional.” The answer is no—because the Constitution forbids no such law at any point in pregnancy.

Texas Right to Life filed a court brief last July urging the justices to overturn Roe.

If the court reverses Roe, the issue of abortion will be decided state by state. Thus, elective abortion will be completely outlawed in Texas.

A ruling in the Mississippi case will likely occur in June 2022.
