Wisconsin Gov Tony Evers Sends $1 Million Meant for COVID Relief to Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers just awarded another $1 million in COVID-19 relief funds to the Planned Parenthood abortion chain.

Empower Wisconsin reports Evers, a pro-abortion Democrat who vetoed a bill to protect newborns from infanticide, announced the taxpayer-funded grant last week as part of the Equitable Recovery Grants program.

The governor said the goal of the program is to help communities and families recover from the pandemic.

“From Beloit to Lac du Flambeau, the organizations receiving these grants have been on the frontlines of providing support to communities that have seen disparate outcomes throughout this pandemic, both in health and economic well-being,” Evers said in a statement. “We must continue to work together to make sure that as our state is recovering, every community and every family is recovering with us.”

But Planned Parenthood does not help families; it primarily is an abortion business. Its annual reports show actual health services, such as cancer screenings and well-woman exams, are dropping, and its prenatal care and adoption referral numbers are so small that they are almost non-existent.

Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood’s abortion numbers continue to grow, and it now does about 40 percent of all abortions in the U.S., or more than 350,000 a year.

The abortion chain also is heavily involved in politics and repeatedly has supported Evers’ election campaigns, according to Empower Wisconsin.

Pro-life lawmakers accused the governor of misusing the COVID relief funds to help his political allies as he runs for re-election in November.

“It’s such a brazen political giveaway at this point,” state Sen. Andre Jacque, R-De Pere, told the news outlet. “I don’t know what else there is to say, other than Gov. Evers would rather give $1 million to the state’s largest abortionist as opposed to law enforcement or any number of ways he could be helping kids.”

Here’s more from the report:

It’s the kind of funding initiative that has raised questions about Evers’ spending of the approximately $4.5 billion in federal COVID aid — money he effectively has sole discretion over.

Republican lawmakers have accused Evers of using the pot of money like an unregulated re-election campaign slush fund. The Equitable fund targets the Democratic voters he’ll need if he has any hope of winning a second term in November.

During the height of the pandemic, Evers also gave about $1.4 million to Planned Parenthood from federal COVID relief funds, according to the report.

In the latest grant announcement, he also awarded more than $880,000 to the Wisconsin Alliance for Women’s Health, a close ally of the Planned Parenthood abortion chain.

The abortion industry is not hurting for money. Planned Parenthood reported $1.64 billion in revenue in 2020.

A new investigation by the Capital Research Center found that pro-abortion groups spent a record $3.7 billion in 2020 to expand the killing of unborn babies in abortions through lobbying, political donations and other spending. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Planned Parenthood was the biggest spender. Its 79 affiliates and PACs spent $1.5 billion in 2020, the investigation found.

In 2020, LifeNews reported how the Planned Parenthood abortion business improperly applied for and received $80 million in federal funds meant to support small businesses as they battle the economic fallout from the coronavirus.

Planned Parenthood aborts more unborn babies than any other group in the U.S. Its latest annual report, which is publicly available online, shows more than 354,000 abortions.

Meanwhile, the same report shows that many of its actual health services continue to decline. It provided less contraception, sterilizations, cancer screenings, adoption referrals and other women’s health services than the previous year, mirroring a continued downward trend. Its patient numbers also have been dropping steadily over the past decade.

Planned Parenthood has been accused repeatedly of unethical and illegal activities, including selling aborted baby body partsbotching abortions that killed womencovering up the sexual abuse of minorsdiscriminating against pregnant and racial minority employees, exploiting young girls by selling cross-sex hormones and more.
