The Kansans for Life Political Action Committee (KFL PAC) is proud to endorse Attorney General Derek Schmidt for Governor. Additionally, the PAC is making a historic, early endorsement of Congressmen Ron Estes (KS-4), Jake LaTurner (KS-2) and Tracey Mann (KS-1) for re-election.
The pro-life group is also proud to endorse Jerry Moran for re-election to the United States Senate.
The endorsement of Attorney General Schmidt comes as he seeks to unseat current Governor and abortion fanatic Laura Kelly in November. Prior to the November election, pro-life Kansans will fight the most consequential battle in our movement’s history with the Value Them Both Amendment on the ballot August 2nd. The Amendment will protect existing limits on the industry, which are in danger of being eliminated due to a 2019 Kansas Supreme Court ruling.
“Derek Schmidt has been a true defender of life as Attorney General,” said Melissa Leach, KFL PAC Manager. “His work to defend our existing pro-life laws and support for the Value Them Both Amendment is well-documented. We are confident that he will carry this same commitment to the Governor’s mansion.”
Democrat Laura Kelly has gone above and beyond to do the industry’s bidding. In 2020, her executive action led to a 9.1% increase in abortions in Kansas, the single largest annual percentage increase since the 1990s. National press outlets have even noted Kansas as a destination for abortion on Kelly’s watch.
“Kansans are ready to replace the Kelly administration with one that shares our values, upholds our laws, and protects our most vulnerable,” stated Schmidt. “I’m grateful to have the endorsement of Kansans for Life and to work with them to achieve this shared goal.”
The endorsement of Moran comes as pro-life U.S. Senators are fighting an almost daily onslaught from the abortion industry. These attacks include the nomination of radical judges to the federal bench, attempts to force taxpayers to pay for abortion up to birth (removal of the Hyde Amendment) and other elements of President Biden’s so-called “Build Back Better” plan. Biden’s radical allies are also trying to change Senate rules and the “filibuster” in order to jam through an anti-life agenda.

“Senator Moran has partnered with the pro-life cause on so many fronts over the years,” stated Melissa Leach on behalf of KFL PAC. “His leadership of the National Republican Senatorial Committee was key to pro-life gains in the U.S. Senate and critical to the selection of a historic number of constitutionalist judges. The pro-life movement in Kansas is facing its most crucial moment on August 2nd, 2022, when voters will have the opportunity to vote YES on the VALUE THEM BOTH Amendment. The Amendment will protect the state’s existing, bi-partisan supported abortion regulations. If the Amendment is not approved, Kansas will become a destination for unlimited abortion because of a 2019 Kansas Supreme Court ruling that endangers even the most basic limits on the abortion industry.
