Pro-choice men everywhere love abortion rights.
Really, they do. Without children or child support payments, without being shackled to a woman and children for the rest of their lives, they are free. Free to pursue their dreams, to buy luxury cars and express their own sexual freedom without the burden of responsibility or conformity to women’s needs.
If that sounds disgusting and ridiculous, it should. But it is, in many ways, also the reality of the depraved thinking that the legalized killing of unborn babies in abortions has resulted in.
Live Action hits on this point in a new video, its first satire, “Abortion rights are pro-choice men’s rights.” The short video exposes the reality that abortion is a tool of irresponsible men.
“I deserve to be free from any responsibility for some girl I get pregnant,” one man says in the video.
Another describes himself as a “caring guy” because he supports abortion. He explains that he does not want to burden a woman with his child just because he does not want to be a father. That and “she might chase me down for child support.”

“I’m not really interested in mothers – except my own, because she pays all my bills. Without abortion, I would have had to get a job,” says another man wearing a T-shirt with the words “pregnant women aren’t women” written across it.
“Abortions keep my girl’s body looking right. Stretch marks? Yecch!” another comments.
Abortion rights are pro-choice men’s rights. It’s not really about what women want, and it has never been. Abortion is about men – pro-choice men. So ladies, thank you for marching. Marching for us.

Others point out that it’s the government’s job to care for women and children, not men’s, and having a child would have kept them from becoming an internet sensation or buying a Tesla.
“The other side will point out that abortion kills a human being, but my right to impregnate a woman and then leave her in the dust outweighs the baby’s right to life,” one man concludes.
Funny and troubling at the same time, the video gets at something the early feminists predicted about abortion before it even became legal. They called it the “ultimate exploitation of women.” Now that abortions are legal and widely available in the U.S., irresponsible men coerce, threaten and even force women to abort their unborn babies to avoid responsibility. Sometimes these men even abuse or kill both mother and child if she refuses.
Lila Rose, president and founder of Live Action, said they used satire because they want society to really re-think their views that abortion helps women.
“This video is meant to highlight the truth: Abortion primarily benefits selfish, childish men and fuels the abuse of women and the deaths of children,” Rose said.
However, Rose also emphasized that there are many good, responsible men and fathers who protect and care for women and children.
“We know there are so many good men who DO cherish the women in their lives, and who DO want to be loving, responsible fathers,” she said. “You may be one of them! These truly manly men are the ones we need to build up and encourage them to influence the culture.”
