Joe Biden’s administration is promoting abortions across the world by claiming that aborting unborn babies is a “human right” in a new U.S. Department of State report.
Christian Headlines reports the State Department released its Human Rights Report on Nov. 4 with a section that promotes “reproductive rights” as an international priority. The term “reproductive rights” typically is used to promote abortion without limits up to birth.
“We reaffirm our full commitment to promote and protect the sexual and reproductive health of all individuals, recognizing the essential and transformative role they play in gender equality and women and girls’ empowerment around the world,” department spokesperson Ned Price told the Washington Post.
In contrast, the State Department under President Donald Trump promoted health care and human rights for all human beings, including mothers and unborn babies, in its Human Rights Report.
The Rev. Albert Mohler, president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, slammed the Biden administration’s changes as “morally corrupt” on his podcast “The Briefing,” according to the report.
“It is a morally grotesque corruption of the idea of human rights, but this is increasingly the notion of human rights that is being driven by a secularized society,” Mohler said. “… And it’s unhinged from any kind of understanding of the origin of rights coming from outside human beings ourselves.”

However, the departure from true human rights is not unexpected. Biden’s radical pro-abortion administration was filled with recommendations from abortion industry leaders.
In April, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken promised that the Biden administration would start promoting abortion in reports about human rights and other efforts. He also touted Biden’s decision early in his presidency to force Americans to fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business and its global abortion agenda.
“It is one of many steps – along with revoking the Mexico City Policy, withdrawing from the Geneva Consensus Declaration, resuming support for the United Nations Population Fund – that we are taking to promote women’s health and equity at home and abroad. Because women’s rights – including sexual and reproductive rights – are human rights,” Blinken said at the time.
Earlier this month, the Department of State also announced new funding for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Supplies program, which provides deadly abortion drugs and devices to women across the world.
Biden also included additional funding for UNFPA in his 2022 budget. The Trump administration refused to give tax dollars to the UN agency because of its connections to forced and coerced abortions in China.
The Biden administration has adopted the most radical pro-abortion policies in U.S. history. Not only did Biden recently allow abortion drugs to be sold through the mail without a doctor’s visit, he also is trying to force taxpayers to pay for elective abortions in Medicaid and in other countries.
