Kanye West is one of the few celebrities willing to speak out against abortion.

And he did so again Thursday when he slammed the killing of unborn babies in abortions as “genocide” during an interview on the Drink Champs show, Breitbart reports. West, who now goes by the name Ye, is one of the most widely-known celebrities in America. A Grammy award winning musician and billionaire, he is married to reality TV star Kim Kardashian, though she recently filed for divorce.

West told rapper Noreaga and DJ EFN that black Americans “are still inside of our genocide,” referring to abortion. He continued: “50 of all black deaths a year is abortion. Plan B was created by Margaret Sanger with the KKK for black population control,” according to the report.

Sanger was the founder of Planned Parenthood, a billion-dollar abortion chain that aborted more than 354,000 unborn babies in America last year. A well-known eugenicist, she described certain groups of people as “human weeds,” “reckless breeders” and “morons” “who never should have been born.”

In a 1939 letter to a friend, Sanger wrote, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.” She also spoke to a KKK gathering in 1926.

Last year, West criticized Planned Parenthood in an interview with podcast host Joe Rogan.

“Plan B and Planned Parenthood were planned by eugenicists that set out and said out loud, ‘I’m doing this to kill the black race and to create population control,’” he said at the time. “… With abortion culture, there are 1,000 black children aborted a day — daily. We are in genocide.”

Since abortion became legal nation-wide in 1973, an estimated 20 million unborn black babies have been aborted in America. Research by Protecting Black Life found that 79 percent of Planned Parenthood surgical abortion facilities are located within walking distance of minority neighborhoods.

While abortions harm families of every race and culture, they disproportionately harm black families. Statistics show that while African Americans represent 13 percent of the U.S. population, they have 36 percent of all abortions. According to the Guttmacher Institute, the abortion rate among black women is almost five times higher than it is among white women.

West has pointed this out multiple times in interviews and on social media. In 2020, he described Planned Parenthood as a “white supremacists’” organization that does the “devil’s work” in an interview with Forbes Magazine. Later that year, he wrote a series of posts on Twitter mourning how the abortion industry targets unborn black babies and mothers for abortions.

“Over 22,500,000 black babies have been aborted over the past 50 years,” West wrote.

His reasons for being pro-life are personal. During a campaign rally in 2020 while he was running for president, West broke down in tears when he revealed how he and Kardashian almost aborted their oldest daughter. He said his father also wanted to abort him, but his mother chose life.
