White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki sparred with a journalist again Wednesday when asked about President Joe Biden’s supposedly devout Catholic faith and his radical pro-abortion stance ahead of a meeting with Pope Francis.
During a press conference, EWTN journalist Owen Jensen asked Psaki if the pope and Biden will discuss abortion when they meet Friday at the Vatican, Fox News reports.
“The White House has said they will discuss working together on efforts grounded in respect for fundamental human dignity,” Jensen asked. “Will that include the human dignity of the unborn?”
Psaki responded sharply, pointing out how frequently the Catholic journalist asks about abortion.
“Well, Owen, as you know, although you ask me most often if not every time about abortion, but I will say there was a great deal of agreement-” she began.

“Is there a problem with my question?” Jensen asked.
“Let me finish my answer,” Psaki responded. “There’s not. You can ask anything you want.”
Psaki said Biden and Pope Francis agree on many issues, but abortion is not one of them and there are no plans to discuss it when they meet Friday.
“You are familiar with where the president stands,” she said. “He’s somebody who stands up for and believes that a woman’s right to choose is important.”
Then, Jensen asked if Biden agrees with the pope that aborting an unborn baby is “murder,” much “like hiring a hitman” to kill another person.
“You know that the president believes in a woman’s right to choose,” Psaki replied. “You’re very familiar with this issue. We’ve spoken about it many times.”
Many Catholics are urging Pope Francis to correct Biden on abortion when they meet Friday. Though Biden professes to be Catholic, he has been pushing the most radical pro-abortion policies of any president in history, including allowing mail-order abortions and forcing taxpayers to fund abortions.
This is not the first time Psaki has sparred with Jensen. The EWTN reporter repeatedly has questioned Biden for claiming to be a devout Catholic while working to expand the killing of unborn babies in abortions.
In September, Psaki lobbed a personal attack against Jensen for being a man after he questioned Biden’s radical pro-abortion agenda.
Refusing to directly answer questions or changing the subject is a common tactic with Psaki, especially when asked about abortion. In August, she cut off Jensen when he tried to ask about Biden’s plans to eliminate the Hyde Amendment and force taxpayer to pay for abortions – a hugely unpopular position among Americans.
Earlier this summer, she also refused to answer another journalist’s question about whether Biden believes a second-trimester unborn baby is a human being.
