Earlier this week, LifeNews.com reported on some extremely depraved and disturbing claims. Documents obtained by the Center For Medical Progress (CMP) via a FOIA request suggest that the government paid millions of dollars to the University of Pittsburgh so it could harvest tissue from aborted babies for research. What’s more is that supposedly these babies’ organs are harvested before they’re killed.
And we claim to be a civilized society when we do that?!
LifeNews’ initial report from August 3 stated that “Judicial Watch and the Center for Medical Progress said they obtained 252 pages of new documents about the university’s practices from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.” These documents – obtained with a “Freedom of Information Act request” and through the pressure of a subsequent lawsuit – show that the government gave the University of Pittsburgh “at least $2.7 million in federal tax dollars over the past five years to become a ‘tissue hub’ for aborted baby body parts for scientific research.”
In a statement given to LifeNews.com, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton alleged, “These documents show taxpayer money is being used to turn the University of Pittsburgh into a one-stop human fetal tissue shop.” He described how fetal tissue is taken from “elective abortions,” divided up and then shipped and distributed to research facilities, like the one at University of Pittsburgh.

Pro-life activist group Live Action explained that the documents reveal how in 2015 the U.S. National Institutes of Health gave the nearly $3 million grant to the school so that it could become the “fetal distribution hub” for the “GenitoUrinary Developmental Molecular Anatomy Project (GUDMAP).”
Live Action pointed to the University of Pittsburgh document which reportedly claimed that “‘labor induction’ is the ‘procedure that will be used to obtain the tissue.’” Hmm, so that would mean they are giving birth to live babies in order to harvest tissue.
What’s more, CMP head David Daleiden, the man famous for first exposing that Planned Parenthood was selling aborted baby parts to various organizations via undercover video in 2015, corroborated this claim and made an even more disturbing one on August 4. According to Daleiden, organs are harvested in cases while the baby is alive. He claimed that the grant documents show that “Pitt and the Planned Parenthood abortion providers responsible for its ‘research’ abortions are allowing babies, some of the age of viability, to be delivered alive, and then killing them by cutting their kidneys out.”
Daleiden’s organization (CMP) explained, “The University states the fetal organs do not undergo ischemia—lose their blood supply—until ‘after the tissue collection procedure.’ This means the organs are still receiving blood supply from the fetal heartbeat during the ‘tissue collection.’”
Ok, well that’s the most barbaric thing we could ever imagine. And it’s supposedly done by our own government. Though, what right do we have to be shocked? Our society already kills unborn babies by the millions. Compared to that, this is just the icing on the cake.
