Planned Parenthood closed another one of its locations in Nebraska recently after pro-life advocates said it struggled to find public support.

The Grand Island Independent reports Planned Parenthood opened the office in the summer of 2019 in Grand Island, Nebraska, and closed it last fall.

The abortion chain used the office to conduct political advocacy, not to abort unborn babies. According to the report, an “advocacy staff member” worked there.

Initially, the abortion chain appeared to give the impression that it closed the office temporarily due to the coronavirus. However, the local news confirmed this week that Planned Parenthood closed the location permanently.

A spokesperson for Planned Parenthood Advocates of Nebraska said the office will not reopen, but they have plans to hire two new people to do political advocacy in central and northeast Nebraska.

Bob Sullivan, an attorney and local pro-life advocate, welcomed the news as a sign of the abortion chain’s dwindling support.

“I believe Planned Parenthood’s retreat from central Nebraska speaks well for the people of central Nebraska, who recognized Planned Parenthood’s misinformation and called them on it,” Sullivan told The Independent.

He continued: “The lack of local support was obvious when people started to take a stand against Planned Parenthood, and that is the most likely cause of the decision to close their office. The writing was on the wall, and Planned Parenthood obviously knew that continued attempts to gain a foothold in the Tri-City area were going to be a failure.”

Planned Parenthood aborts more unborn babies than any other group in the U.S. It also is heavily involved in politics, donating tens of millions of dollars to pro-abortion politicians’ political campaigns.

Its latest annual report, which is publicly available online, shows more than 354,000 abortions, about 40 percent of all abortions in the U.S. Meanwhile, many of Planned Parenthood’s actual health services are declining. It provided less contraception, sterilizations, cancer screenings, adoption referrals and other women’s health services than the previous year, mirroring a continued downward trend. Its patient numbers also have been dropping steadily over the past decade.

Planned Parenthood has been accused repeatedly of unethical and illegal activities, including selling aborted baby body partsbotching abortions that killed womencovering up the sexual abuse of minorsdiscriminating against pregnant and racial minority employees, exploiting young girls by selling cross-sex hormones and more.
