Pam Tebow, the mother of famed Christian athlete Tim Tebow, has written a new book to encourage women to trust in God through the difficult times.

“I have a heart for people who are going through things,” she told Baptist News. “I want people to walk away having hope in the Lord. ‘Hope’ is the word that kept coming up during my writing process.”

“Hope for a Woman’s Heart,” her second book, is a 52-day devotional that is available now at major book sellers.

Though people often see Pam as the mother of an NFL star, she told Baptist News that she has faced trials and tribulations just like everyone else.

“I have desperately needed hope in God through all the challenges and various circumstances I have faced,” she wrote in the devotional.

These included her and her husband’s decision to become missionaries in the Philippines and her life-threatening pregnancy with Tim, the youngest of their five children, while they were serving there.

Back in 2010, Pam and Tim came into the national spotlight when they partnered with Focus on the Family to share their pro-life story in a Super Bowl commercial. Pam shared how she rejected abortion after doctors told her that aborting Tim was the only way to save her life. The Tebows said doctors described Tim as a “fetal tumor” and “mass of cells” that had to be removed. However, Tim’s mom refused abortion, and both mother and son miraculously survived.

Pam said she hopes her new book will help women understand that God uses trials like the one that she went through with Tim to bring them closer to Him.

She encouraged women to memorize passages of the Bible to help them through difficult times.

“Bible Memorization has guided me through life, and I try to put the verses to tunes so that I can memorize them better,” she said. “What’s learned in song is remembered long.”

Though she and her husband now live in Florida, they still do missions work in the Philippines, according to the report. Pam and her son also are pro-life advocates who use their fame to speak out for unborn babies and people with disabilities.
