Sen. Elizabeth Warren believes that the filibuster is bad now that Democrats have control of Congress.

But the Massachusetts Democrat relied on the procedural measure herself to stop pro-life legislation when Republicans were elected to power.

The Daily Wire reports Warren has been calling for an end to the U.S. Senate filibuster for months – ever since Democrats won narrow majorities in the U.S. House and Senate.

“Last time I read the Constitution, it’s majority rule in both chambers of Congress,” Warren wrote Monday on Twitter. “And it’s only the president of the United States who gets a veto—not the minority leader of the United States Senate.”

In March, Warren claimed the filibuster is racist, arguing, “In a democracy, its majority rules.”

She quickly was slammed as a hypocrite and urged to read the U.S. Constitution, which allows the Senate to create its own procedural rules, according to the report. Others questioned if Warren was calling herself a racist since she used the filibuster in the past.

National Review reports the Massachusetts senator participated in at least 300 filibusters in the past five years when Republicans controlled the Senate.

Among other actions, Warren and other Democrats repeatedly blocked the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, legislation that would protect newborns who survive abortions from infanticide.

The bill would require abortionists and medical workers to provide the same basic level of medical care to an infant who survives an abortion that they would to any other baby born at the same gestational age.

Pro-abortion Democrats in Congress blocked the legislation numerous times even though data from the Centers for Disease Control, state health department reports and other evidence proves that babies are being born alive in botched abortions every year in the U.S.

Democrats narrowly control the U.S. House and Senate, and almost all of them are pro-abortion. Their party platform includes a radical pro-abortion stance that calls for forcing taxpayers to fund abortions and legalizing abortions for any reason without limits. The filibuster is one of the things stopping them from achieving these goals.
