Meghan McCain, the lone conservative voice on ABC show “The View,” warned President Joe Biden on Monday that his abortion advocacy is “doing grave spiritual harm to himself and to this country.”
The Hill reports McCain and the other hosts discussed the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ vote last week to draft a teaching document on Communion that could rebuke pro-abortion politicians like Biden.
Biden professes to be a devout Catholic, but he has enacted radical pro-abortion policies to expand the killing of unborn babies in abortions and to force taxpayers to fund their deaths.
“As far as I’m concerned, abortion is murder … and that is a doctrine as old as the Catholic Church itself,” McCain said. “I believe he’s doing grave spiritual harm to himself and to this country.”
McCain said she does not understand how Biden claims to personally oppose abortion but supports it publicly.
“It’s like saying, ‘Personally I’m opposed to murder but if you want to murder a little bit it’s fine because it’s not my problem,’” she said. “And he’s going to have to talk to his creator when the time comes, as we all do, and reconcile his politics with his personal faith.”

She said Biden needs to stop trying to have it both ways.
“We have to, as pro-lifers, fight for the lives of the unborn. That is a doctrine as old as the Catholic church itself. So he has to choose,” she continued.
What’s more, she said Biden is trying to force taxpayers to pay for the killing of unborn babies in abortions.
His proposed 2022 budget eliminates the long-standing Hyde Amendment, a popular measure that prohibits taxpayer funding for elective abortions in Medicaid and other programs. The amendment has saved approximately 2.4 million unborn babies from abortion, according to research by the Charlotte Lozier Institute.
“If you are a devout Catholic, as President Biden claims to be, abortion is a cardinal sin that can do deep spiritual harm to you …” McCain said, according to Breitbart.
“When it comes to the separation of church and state, the onus is on the government, not the church. The church is always going to try to impede every possible way they can and influence every way they can,” she added. “It’s ultimately up to the church, but he’s walking a very fine line here, and ultimately, all of these issues are literally life and death for Catholics, for devout Christians.”
Earlier this month, the Catholic League released a report documenting 32 times that Biden violated non-negotiable principles of the Catholic faith during his first several months as president.
These include ending the Mexico City Policy and restoring taxpayer funding to the international Planned Parenthood branch and other abortion advocacy groups that promote and provide abortions overseas.
Biden also celebrated the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, calling the infamous abortion ruling a “foundational precedent.” The 1973 ruling led to more than 63 million aborted babies and forced states to legalize abortion on demand.
Then, in April, Biden took perhaps the most egregious and dangerous action to-date, when his administration stopped enforcing FDA safety regulations for abortion drugs. Now, the abortion industry can sell deadly abortion drugs through the mail without ever seeing the woman in person.
That same month, the Biden administration reversed another pro-life action by the Trump administration that stopped taxpayer funding to research using aborted baby body parts. As a result, Americans’ tax dollars may be used again to fund gristly experiments, such as implanting aborted babies’ scalps and fingers onto mice for scientists to study.
