The View Praises Teen Who Used Her Graduation Speech to Promote Killing Babies

The liberal media is in love with a Dallas high school student who used her valedictorian speech to wail about a Texas law restricting abortions. Of course, the hosts of The View were enamored as well with the “brave” teen “making a stand” holding up “democracy” and “speaking truth to power” ie: the Republican party.

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg hailed the student “ditch[ing] the speech her school approved her to make to take a stand against the state’s latest anti-abortion law,” before prompting her co-hosts with gooey questions.

“Well, we’re always telling young people to figure out where they stand and make a stand. Sunny, do you think this was the place for her to go off script?” she asked co-host Sunny Hostin.

Hostin, a self-professed Catholic who thinks Jesus would lead pride parades and defends abortion even though she says she’s “pro-life,” lauded the young woman upholding “democracy” by exercising the “First Amendment:”

Absolutely, I do. I mean she’s the valedictorian of the school. That means she’s the best and the brightest in that class. I don’t think that there’s a place for censorship anywhere. This country is about freedom of speech. We talk so much about the First Amendment. I understand in this case the school had approved her speech and she didn’t, you know, speak in the way that was approved. She decided to go off script and talk about something that was very important to her. I think at this time in our country our voices are so important and especially the voices of our young people because without their voices our democracy is nothing but for that. So I applaud her.

All of this was quite ironic, since Hostin herself has repeatedly butt heads with Meghan McCain in the past year over free speech and “cancel culture.” Time and time again, Hostin has gone against free speech that she didn’t like, saying there is no such thing as “cancel culture” but “accountability culture.”

Joy Behar and Ana Navarro also framed the valedictorian’s speech as a win for the younger generation. Behar strangely argued that pro-life people should vote Democrat because the number of abortions go down under Democrat presidents?

ANA NAVARRO: …I think it’s so much part of being a young person and speaking truth to power and being anti-establishment. I love what this represents. Whether you agree with the topic and the substance of what she was saying or not. The truth is no generation is going to be as impacted by this new law in Texas as much as her generation…

….

JOY BEHAR: Well, I think she was fantastic. Let’s talk about the subject for one second. CDC data shows during the last 30 years abortion rates have fallen the most under democratic presidents. Okay. Reagan had abortions were 24 out of 1,000. Under Obama they were 12.5 out of 1,000. If you’re pro-choice or pro-life you should vote for Democrats because under Democrats you’ll see few fewer abortions. The thing about this, I feel like the young people are getting their act together…

But co-host Sara Haines was the most effusive, beaming like a proud parent and even admitting she would “have been so proud to be this girl’s mother, standing there, applauding what she did. I absolutely think this is everything you hope for in our young people.

Haines raved, “She took the mic and that platform and she just dropped it right there. I would hope I would have been brave enough to do something like that.”

She added, “You want them to be resilient and brave and speak out when no one else is speaking,” and the speech gave her hope for the next generation: “This is someone that gave me hope for the future. I loved every minute of it.”

As you may be wondering, the sole pro-life host, Meghan McCain, was absent from today’s show, so there was only one ‘view’ present.

It shows what the media’s priorities are, when every year they largely ignore the massive gathering of pro-life young people at the March for Life in Washington, D.C. Yet at the same time, they’ll give all kinds of attention and praise to one young woman abusing her school’s platform to give a political message fear mongering about women’s rights under attack by the GOP.
