If only some of America’s leaders showed as much concern for babies in the womb that they do for animals.
In April, ten Democrat and Republican House lawmakers united in an effort to end Food and Drug Administration testing requirements that they said often lead to horrific animal abuse, the Daily Caller reports.
“In many cases, FDA-mandated animal tests literally entail poisoning puppies to death …” the bipartisan group of lawmakers wrote.
Though united in this cause, House Republicans are standing alone in their calls to end similarly horrific government-funded research that uses aborted baby body parts.
Democrat U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle, of Pennsylvania, led the letter about the animal testing regulations at the FDA, according to the Caller. He and other lawmakers urged the Government Accountability Office to investigate the agency’s testing requirements.

“… the FDA has made various public commitments to reduce animal testing required to fulfill drug safety requirements,” they wrote. “Unfortunately, both then and now, government studies and other reports indicate that unclear laws, regulations, guidance and red tape have generated ambiguity in the regulated community about what animal testing is and is not required.”
Without clear guidance, “companies often undertake needless animal testing that wastes time, money, animals’ lives and slows innovation,” they continued.

Puppies under the age of one year are most commonly used in the disturbing tests described in [a new report from the watchdog group White Coat Waste Project]. Some of the uncovered studies involved force-feeding puppies experimental drugs and covering their mouths to prevent regurgitation. Deaths reportedly occurred due to “human error” such as incorrect dosing and reactions to drugs including dehydration, paralysis, foaming at the mouth and bleeding in the heart.
Meanwhile, America’s top Democratic leaders are openly supporting other unethical and extremely disturbing scientific research using aborted baby body parts. In April, President Joe Biden’s administration reversed actions by the Trump administration and began allowing tax dollars to be used for research using aborted baby body parts again.
Under the Obama administration, at least $77 million tax dollars were spent on research projects that used aborted baby body parts, according to The Hill.
These projects include a University of Pittsburgh experiment that involved scalping second-trimester aborted babies and then implanting their skin onto rodents. In the study, scientists used scalps from aborted babies between 18 and 20 weeks of pregnancy to create “humanized” mice and rats to study the human immune system. The researchers described it as “full-thickness human skin.”
