Liberals Think Dr. Seuss Books are Bad for Kids, But Killing Babies in Abortions is OK

Dr. Seuss, who recognized the value of every life when he wrote, “A person’s a person, no matter how small!”, is the latest victim of cancel culture.

The beloved children’s author is a new target of radical leftists’ crusade against racism after his legacy business announced Tuesday that several of his books will no longer be printed. Seuss, or Theodor Seuss Geisel, died in 1991.

Meanwhile, some of the same people who are “cancelling” Seuss and his children’s books are ignoring – or even championing – gross human rights atrocities like abortion.

On Seuss’s birthday, Dr. Seuss Enterprises announced that six of his books will no longer be published due to “racist and insensitive imagery,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. The books include “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street” and “If I Ran the Zoo,” the AP reports.

“These books portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong,” Dr. Seuss Enterprises told the Associated Press in a statement.

Reports suggest that “The Cat in the Hat,” perhaps Seuss’s most famous book, could be next. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the book “has received criticism, too, but will continue to be published for now. Dr. Seuss Enterprises, however, said it is ‘committed to listening and learning and will continue to review our entire portfolio.’”

Those getting on board with the cancel-Seuss movement include the National Education Association and President Joe Biden, both of which support killing unborn babies in abortions.

In 1998, the National Education Association honored Seuss by establishing Read Across America Day on March 2 in honor of his birthday. The event, celebrated in many schools across the U.S., encourages children to read and frequently includes Seuss’s books and characters in these celebrations – at least until recently. According to the Reporter, the NEA began de-emphasizing Seuss, as have a number of public school districts in Virginia and other states, in the past few years.

Biden also “canceled” Seuss in his speech honoring Read Across America Day, according to the New York Post. While Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump both mentioned Seuss in their speeches, Biden did not, presumably because of the racism accusations.

All of this while Washington Post columnists mourn when TV characters choose life, not abortion, for their babies and celebrities “thank God” for their abortions during awards shows, teachers unions lobby for abortions of their future students and Biden dismisses actual genocide – the slavery, rape, torture and forced abortions of minorities in China – as “cultural.”

In essence, the leaders of our culture are calling a children’s book evil while championing the killing of innocent human beings as something good.
