A North Carolina pro-life organization that supports parents who choose life for their babies and ministers to those who regret their abortions is looking to expand this year.

Live Action News reports Tori Shaw, founder of Not Forgotten Ministries, hopes to purchase property in Winston-Salem across the street from a Planned Parenthood abortion facility and be a “light shining in the darkness.”

“Just last week a baby was saved as our volunteers stood” outside the abortion facility, Shaw told Live Action News. “The young woman said she had been praying for a sign. After entering … she came back out and decided to talk with our volunteers. She chose life that day and has joined our mentor/mentee program.”

Not Forgotten Ministries provides free mentoring, post-abortion healing programs and pregnancy and parenting resources to help families in need. It also offers pre-born memorials to honor babies who died in the womb as a result of a miscarriage, abortion or stillbirth. It runs a sidewalk counseling ministry outside the local Planned Parenthood as well.

Shaw said the ministry currently rents a small office space. She said the property across from Planned Parenthood used to be a medical clinic, and it is ideal for their plans to begin offering free ultrasounds and pregnancy tests.

But finances are a barrier. According to the report, the ministry has raised about $10,000 toward the purchase of the $800,000 property through a GoFundMe campaign.

“We need help to get our ministry next door to the Planned Parenthood,” Shaw wrote on the fundraising page. “Not only will be advocating outside the clinic and offering free ultrasounds, we also hope to create a beautiful outdoor memorial for babies lost to abortion. Can you imagine? A place honoring life right next to the place destroying it!”

The ministry is dedicated to ending abortion by supporting families in need, providing mentors to encourage and support mothers and fathers, hosting baby showers, providing professional maternity and newborn photographs, and more.

In contrast, Planned Parenthood is the largest destroyer of unborn babies’ lives in America, and it makes millions of dollars doing it. Its most recent annual report showed 354,871 abortions coupled with a decrease in prenatal care and adoption referrals. According to research by Michael J. New, a research associate at the Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America, Planned Parenthood aborts 133 unborn babies for every one adoption referral.
