The 2021 General Assembly has barely begun and multiple bills that will radically change abortion policies in Virginia have already had hearings or will in the next few days!

Your voices need to be heard right now! No tax funds for abortion!

VSHL LEGISLATIVE ACTION CENTER

A bill that removes the restriction on funding abortion in healthcare plans offered in Virginia under the Affordable Health Care act. That means that Virginians will be required to pay for elective abortions, and it is doubtful that any plans will be allowed to stay in the system if they do not cover abortion costs. Virginians seeking legitimate health care will be unable to find affordable care that is not tainted by abortion.

This bill has both a Senate version, SB 1276 and House of Delegates version too, HB 1896. Both bills are working through the process quickly and could pass if concerned pro-life Virginians don’t call a halt to the use of our taxes funds to pay for abortions for any reason through all nine months of pregnancy.

HB 1922 is another bill that will expand the use of tax funds to pay for all elective abortions under the state Medicaid program. This will lead to hundreds of new abortions performed every year if it passes.

This bill also forces private insurers to cover elective abortions in plans they offer employees!

Information about these bills and links to send your message can be found on the VSHL website Legislative Action Center.
