An abortionist who is notorious for posting inflammatory comments on Twitter accused pro-life leader Lila Rose of being a domestic terrorist last week.
The comments between Leah Torres, an abortionist whose medical license was suspended by the state of Alabama in August, and Rose, the president and founder of Live Action, drew thousands of responses online.
It began when Rose wrote a simple message Jan. 7: “Abortion is violence.”
In her short tweet, Rose shared a fundamental belief of the pro-life movement: An abortion is wrong because it is the violent destruction of an innocent human being’s life. A unique, individual human life begins at conception, an undeniable scientific fact, and an abortion ends that human being’s life. Some abortions involve dismembering an unborn baby by tearing them limb from limb while their hearts are still beating. Others involve injecting a poisonous solution into their hearts to kill them. Even some abortionists admit that they are killing babies.
Soon afterward, however, Torres slammed the post as “violent rhetoric” and called Rose a terrorist.
“This is violent rhetoric,” she responded. “It is objectively false and meant to incite others to commit crimes against clinics, patients, and health care providers. This is what domestic terrorism looks like.”

Torres also believes that OB-GYNs cannot be pro-life. A few years ago, she sparked wide-spread outrage when someone asked her if she hears the screams of the babies whom she aborts. She replied: “You know fetuses can’t scream, right? I transect the cord 1st so there’s really no opportunity …” Torres later deleted the tweet.
Torres’s comments come at a time of heightened tension, political unrest and censorship in America.
President Donald Trump was removed from major social media sites after a few radical activists broke into the U.S. Capitol last week, and Parler, a growing social media site committed to free speech, was shut down by Google, Apple and Amazon.
“In just a matter of days, it seems, we’ve found ourselves at the beginning of a very slippery slope that could lead to the censoring and silencing of those who simply hold to differing perspectives, beliefs and world views,” Faith Wire writer Tré Goins-Phillips responded.
The pro-life position is a position of non-violence. The movement focuses on fighting for the most vulnerable whose lives are at risk of intentionally being killed in abortions, assisted suicide, euthanasia and embryonic stem cell research.
