Congress is set to vote today on certifying the votes from the Electoral College in the presidential race, but, before it does, Michigan state lawmakers are asking that it consider allowing a full audit of the election due to concerns about election fraud.
Several Michigan state senators sent a letter to Congress and Vice President Mike Pence, concerning allegations of election illegitimacy. Some 40 state representatives and senators asked for an independent audit of the vote count and say they have not been granted that request.
“We are therefore calling upon the imminent joint session of Congress to pursue every available option and procedure to examine the credible allegations of election related concerns surrounding fraud and irregularities,” the letter said.

Michigan Sen. Roger Victory tweeted an image of the later Tuesday night.
“It is critical to the future of our democracy and for the public good that we do everything within our power to fully restore the faith and trust in our election process” Victory said in his tweet. “We have requested that the United States Congress and federal law enforcement, to the extent of their legal authority, conduct an objective and transparent investigation into credible allegations of misconduct in the 2020 election.”

A December legislative hearing found ample evidence of election fraud in Michigan.
Election workers and observers presented alarming accounts of voter fraud to the Michigan state Senate. The Michigan hearing followed similar hearings by state lawmakers in Pennsylvania, which certified former Vice President Joe Biden as having defeated President Donald Trump there by about 80,000 votes, and in Arizona, which certified Biden as the winner by just over 10,000 votes. In Michigan, Biden’s victory over Trump exceeded 150,000 votes.
