With control of the Senate on the line, NRL News Today will continue to update you on the two pivotal runoff races in Georgia where pro-life Republican senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler are fighting to hold their seats. They face pro-abortion challengers in Democrats Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock, respectively, on January 5, 2021.
If you haven’t had a chance to keep up, the setting is straightforward.
There are now 50 Republican senators. If Democrats were to win both runoff races, they would have 50 senators. The President of the Senate— if Joe Biden is declared the victor, that would be Vice President Kamala Harris—would cast the deciding vote.
With Democrats retaining control of the House, albeit with a reduced margin, the loss of the Senate would mean pro-abortion Democrats control the White House, Senate, and House.
The stakes in Georgia could not be much higher.
Joe Biden’s designated Chief of Staff Ron Klain told ABC’s “This week” last Sunday that “We’re doing to do everything we can to help those two candidates. We’ve already moved people who were working on the Biden campaign on the recounts down there over to be supportive in the field work for our two candidates.” Klain also said he expects Mr. Biden “to travel down there before election day.”

Supporters of pro-life Republican candidates took notice when, as CNBC’s Jennifer Elias wrote today, “Several Senate Democrats wrote a letter to YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki on Monday evening, saying they were concerned about election misinformation on its platform and demanding that it be removed” [https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/business/money-report/senate-democrats-ask-youtube-ceo-to-remove-election-misinformation-ahead-of-georgia-run-off/2743844/?amp].
The four are Sens. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, Gary Peters of Michigan, Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, and Robert Menendez of New Jersey, no friends of unborn babies or free speech.
Social media giants, particularly Twitter, actively censored not only President Trump during the final months of the campaign but also countless supporters on the same vague grounds of “misinformation,” in addition to other tricks such as dubbing speech they disagreed with as “hate conduct.”
As NRL News Today wrote previously, NRL will be actively involved in supporting Senators Loeffler and Perdue.
