Feminists Celebrate Kamala Harris Possibly Becoming VP: She’s a “Steadfast Champion” of Abortion

Pro-abortion feminists are fawning over Kamala Harris and her rapid rise to power.

Harris, presumed to be the next vice president of the United States, has a radical pro-abortion record that includes prosecuting pro-life journalists who exposed Planned Parenthood’s aborted baby body parts trade and opposing a bill to protect newborns who survive abortions from infanticide.

Though there is no official winner of the presidency yet, news outlets declared Harris and Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden the victors over the weekend.

Vogue quickly responded with a piece praising Harris as “a steadfast champion for reproductive rights.”

“As the turbulent and trying Trump presidency comes to a close, and Harris prepares to assume her powerful post, this marks a moment of relief and hope for many women; an opportunity to gain back what’s been lost over the past four years, as well as push women’s health care forward for all,” the magazine commented.

In reality, Harris is a radical pro-abortion activist with very close ties to the billion-dollar abortion group Planned Parenthood. Former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards’ daughter even worked for Harris for a while; and, while serving as California attorney general, Harris appears to have taken orders from the abortion group when she raided undercover journalist David Daleiden’s home after he exposed Planned Parenthood’s aborted baby body parts trade. She had accepted tens of thousands of dollars in campaign donations from Planned Parenthood at the time.

Speaking with Vogue, current Planned Parenthood CEO Alexis McGill Johnson expressed confidence that Harris will push their pro-abortion agenda from the White House.

“We are finally beginning a new chapter: one where we take full control of our bodies, our rights, our democracy and our futures,” Johnson said.

“Time and time again, we’ve seen that women who fight power, who move into leadership positions, who challenge the system, are knocked back down, told to wait, told to be quieter and be nicer—this is especially true for women of color,” she continued. “So when I watched Kamala walking onto the stage in Wilmington, Delaware, I felt like I was walking right alongside her. I felt like my daughters were walking with her, and my grandmothers and my aunties and my girlfriends across the country. She refused to back down no matter what adversity she faced, and now she is going to the White House. In claiming her own power, Kamala empowers us all.”

Actually, it does not seem like Harris faced adversity in her political career. Quite the opposite, Democrat leaders and powerful pro-abortion groups seem to have pegged Harris for the most powerful leadership role in the world.

A former California attorney general, Harris won a seat in the U.S. Senate in 2016 and immediately was placed on some of the most powerful committees, which typically are reserved for senior senators. Before even serving one term, Harris launched her presidential campaign and failed dismally in the primaries. Then, surprising given Harris’s unpopularity, Biden chose her as his vice presidential running mate earlier this year — putting her just one step away from the White House.

Harris’s willingness to champion the killing of unborn babies in abortions and squash religious liberty appear to be part of what made her so favorable to radical leftist groups like Planned Parenthood, which dumped tens of millions of dollars into the 2020 election.

Vogue, describing Harris in positive terms, noted how she “offered an inspiring vision for making abortion more accessible” by sponsoring a bill to end the Hyde Amendment and force taxpayers to fund abortion on demand.

Harris also co-sponsored Women’s Health Protection Act, a radical pro-abortion bill that would have legalized abortions for basically any reason up to birth. Nicknamed the “Abortion Without Limits Until Birth Act” by pro-life groups, the bill would have invalidated nearly all state and federal abortion regulations, including waiting periods, informed consent requirements, bans on late-term abortions and sex-selection abortions and more.

On religious freedom matters, Harris also has a concerning record. When the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in July that a charity run by nuns should not be forced to pay for birth control that may cause abortions, Harris responded by urging Congress to pass a law to circumvent the religious freedom ruling.

She also recently came under fire for discriminating against a judicial nominee simply because he is a member of a Catholic fraternal organization, and she opposed the Hobby Lobby case, which challenged the Obamacare contraception mandate.

In 2015, as the California attorney general, she supported oppressive regulations that would have crippled the work of pro-life pregnancy centers. The Supreme Court struck down the regulations three years later.

Notorious in pro-life circles, Harris became well-known after she raided the home of undercover journalist David Daleiden, who exposed Planned Parenthood’s baby body parts trade. The state’s prosecution of Daleiden is on-going. If convicted, he could be sent to jail – even though his investigation led to the shutdown of two companies that sold aborted baby body parts.

Harris’s prosecution of the undercover journalists, while accepting campaign donations and other support from Planned Parenthood, was met with harsh criticism. Even the pro-abortion Los Angeles Times editorial board criticized her office for prosecuting journalists in a way that jeopardizes the freedom of the press, calling it a “disturbing overreach.”

Her ties to Planned Parenthood go even deeper. For years, Harris employed former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards’ daughter on her staff for several years.

Pro-life leaders are calling Harris and Biden “the most pro-abortion presidential ticket in American history.” Biden has adopted radical pro-abortion positions, including taxpayer-funded elective abortions, but Harris’s record is even more radical and out of touch with most Americans.
